Just replaced my DV Rev B, i removed it at the weekend and it was fooked, picked up a Rev G tonight and just got it fitted, seems to pull better now

Bought it from TPS for £38, VW wanted £70 for a rev D, which is strange considering TPS is part of the VAG group where they get all their parts from.. also tried telling me the D is the same as the G 'its just a different manufacturer', so i just hung up in the end.. you cant tell them anything.....

I got my car mapped today at r-tech, very pleased! By far the cheapest place at £290 and that is with the car mapped on a rolling road (not just road tested after the map is loaded like most places), so they also include before and after figures with a graph (again some places charge extra for this, even if they have a dyno) and lastly which I really wasn't expecting was that I had 5 maps loaded on to the car which i can change by using the pedals and the ignition, very cool and geeky! Which is ideal if the clutch starts to slip I can knock it down in power and torque.

She made 196bhp and 220ft/lbs standard and then 244bhp and 325ft/lbs after, so almost 50bhp more (25% more power).

Im also fitting audi S3 wishbones at the weekend and probably get my ps3's fitted along with a brake fluid change to motul rbf 600 in preparation for going to the ring

rtech remap did they take the decat out before the remap

if so did they do this all in price of the remap £290

how much better is the car now pulls better all the way
244 bhp 325ft/lbs is some high power and torque

hi, no they didnt take the cat out or the pre-cat out if thats what you are asking. They advised me to get the pre-cat taken out by the company next to them (dynodaze, as r-tech now just do mapping) this obviously keeps the car legal, with an uprated panel filter they said I should get 250bhp from past cars they've tested, which tbh isnt far off a stage 2 set up,

the car is like a rocket ship now! ha keeps pulling nicely like a train up to the redline, but with the weather as it is and me living in the country Ive had very few chances to go for it, ive knocked it back down the the standard map this morning due to the snow
