Jeffchiz:
Had a puncture on one of my gti alloys, not sure if im buying new tyres and refurbing or buying some BBS VZ's, in the mean time ive got these a4 wheels to keep me going only cost me £150, pretty good condition, 7mm tyres on front and 5/6mm on back BARGAIN!

Ive also finally bought my chrome tipped window switches, the interior door handles were looking very worn so i sanded them down and painted matt black, best £1.60 ive ever spent, would've cost me £75 to buy new ones off ebay, i also did the blanks on my steering wheel, did get before pics but cba to upload them atm, but you all now how tatty the handles get!

Jeffchiz:
Visited my mate in his unit again. I was due a second cambelt and waterpump change, annoyingly enough the cambelt, waterpump and bearings had loads of life back in them, however it would have to be done at some point in my ownership now i dont have to think about it again plus i got to fit the thermostat that has been kicking around for ages.
All my new parts from TPS

Jacked up, engine cover and washer bottle/expansion tank removed

Alt belt and bottom pulley off

Engine mount removed, however i have to horrid one piece cambelt cover so its an absolute pain to get the mount base out!!

We were stuck at this point over night just no room to get it out!

Next morning after using brute force it came out would love to know the proper way of doing it! belt and pump off

New belt and pump on

Genuine parts used, because the one i took out wasnt genuine i couldnt get my surcharge back!

With everything off we took the laternator off as its an ideal time to acess the thermostat, old one off

Pretty much back together

Checking bleeding went to plan
