i'm set on coming, but i cant confirm until were into next year and i can see how the land lies :smiley:
if the mrs comes i might not be heading to the ring, it will be either home or amsterdam
i wont make any requests as i have no idea wether i can come yet, suffice to say driving from cornwall a night drive is just never gunna happen for me so i would need to stop over the night before any channel crossing if its an early one

....Let's see what the others have to say but I reckon that most will prefer that ^.
Whether peeps stay the night near Folkstone/Dover or near Calais, it shouldn't be difficult to hook up at the beginning of the drive to Chur. RV at a big services on E-road outta Calais/Dunkirk.
The next question will be the route to Chur. Through France via Reims and Dijon is less busy and very similar mileage but the French speed cops aren't so sympathetic. The autobahns are faster.

I am fine with doing what the majority wants, so ill stay an extra night. it wouldnt work with meeting up, as id be passing thru where you would be staying at about 4 AM. you would probably not be setting off for another 4 hours.
Routing thru france:
The tolls thru that route quickly add up, very quickly, i think it would be about £50 just for tolls.
Yep, the police are a nightmare there. The roads are a bit better in france, but i think most would want to avoid the £50 tolls?

fair enough mate. i think it would probably be best if we get into europe by an hour or so on the first night?

i,m only an hour half max away from chunnel so i can get up early to make the 830train
and i,ll have to come straight home and miss the ring trip due to work and kid commitments!
and if anyone travelling wants to crash at mine- few beds and at worst a tent in the garden will end up saving a few squid on hotel for first nite??
