What are the chances of me fu*king it up if i use the cam shaft locking tool??
dazza:
Are these the part numbers needed for AXX engines??
chain - part no. 06D109229B
tensioner - part no. 06F109217A
gasket - part no. 06D103121B
seal - part no. 06E127248
gasket - part no. 06F103483D
Anyone have a link to a kit with the cam shaft locking tool?
OSB:
Just listened to the audio clip - sounds like the usual HPFP / injector noise that most of them seem to have.
Now, obviously it's difficult to isolate and investigate a noise from an audio clip over the internet - and no one would not want you to fail to do essential repairs - but I would get a second opinion from someone who has a lot of experience of these notoriously noisy engines, before I set out on PiTY / expensive job.
Just a thought.

Thanks for your input. My past experience with the dealerships in Spain has been poor. The local garages are worse. I'm on my own with this one.
We will soon see all the parts and tools have been ordered.
OSB:
Ok - best of luck.
Hope that sorts it.
