I need a standalone EGT sensor and gauge :-/

I made the assumption it would be through the pre cat lambda sensor.

Shoduchi:
My diesel engine shows with PolarFIS the turbo temperature (has a sensor outside the turbo) and my BYD engine shows the exhaust temperature, but as vRSAlex said later it's a calculated value.

Edited after vRSAlex cleared the doubt.
