Cool, well my revo settings on stage one were ... f8 t6 b8 but i had intercooler and intake :(

however before the other mods and the default settings (it will be set to whatever best suits your car on the day) mine was 315 bhp..

SO you can expect anything from 305-320bhp at the fly

IMO there is absolutley no way you can get 75-95bhp increase from a stage 1 remap alone. k04 turbo or not. from what i have seen of k04s on stage 1 you'd be more realsitically looking at 280bhp possibly more if your lucky, unless uyou are on an over exagerating dyno

all these are k04 golfs from JKMs gallery

bluefin stage 2 290bhp

revo stage 2+ 322

bluefin stage 1 280bhp
http://www.jkm.org.uk/performance/Misc/Gallery/rollingroaddays/Golf%20GTI%20RR%20Day%2003%2010%2009/Dyno%20Graphs/SNS.gif

revo stage 1 278bhp
http://www.jkm.org.uk/performance/Misc/Gallery/rollingroaddays/MK5%20GTI%2018%2003%2009/Dyno%20Graphs/CLB.gif

i personnaly think my RR results that i had at AMD are not that accurate, and im looking forwqard to getting on the rollers at surry RR day to get as second comparison.

Fed up of hearing about jkms rollers, just because it gives less figures doesnt mean its right. Mine made 330 at stage 2 on awesome gti's rollers, does that mean they dont know what there doing when it comes to using their rolling road, think not.

Id expect around 300 from revo stage 1 mate and think i ran mine at around b7 t5 f9 but carnt remember exactly, anyways enjoy you wont be dissapionted.

you forget that is my opinion. your 330bhp @stage 2 sounds ok and realistic to me. as does a stage 2+ K04 cars hitting 340-360bhp.

but IMO which isnt fact!!, Id say between 285-300bhp is a more realsitic target for a stage 1 car with no additional mods.

It doesn't matter whether we all think our car has 250bhp or 400bhp its an argument that will never get resolved. Its how it drives in the real world on a road that counts. Take it to santa pod and find out, claiming this and that makes no sense. Its about getting the car running as sweet as possible. A healthy ED 30 with a stage one revo map is going to be pretty fast no matter what numbers are written on the piece of paper.  :pomppomp:

I agree with you 100% on it being how it drives, i was merely saying i thought it was a bit over what you could expect realistically.

A fast car will not necessarily be fast at the pod though if the driver over cooks it on the start line, there is a lot of scope in times when it comes down todriver ability.

Its all about in gear acceleration times in the real world, and thats where these exel

.... x 2

I couldn't agree more!

Except perhaps that Santa Pod isn't the best indicator either - Because so much depends on the driver's skill in getting off the line IMO.

I think from what ive read JKM rollers are a good indication of power and gains, if you look on their site loads of ed30's have been run both standard and non standard... the standard ones make 230ish which is what they are supposed to... stage one remapped seem to make 280ish... I agree 300+ seems a lot, I would like to think that mine on stage 2 makes 320ish but saying that its never been on a rolling road, I love it and it feels very fast and as others have said that what matters  :happy2:

Although I am a JKM fanboy (and proud of it), regardless of whether their rollers or rather their way of operating them, is more realistic or not, I suggest it's a good practice to regularly use the same rolling road to assess and monitor your car's health. This way you have at least some semblence of relative performance/health.

By all means go to other dyno sessions to socialise and have fun but keep one of them constant.

hence the reason i am going to this RR at surrey as im doubting my figures(hopefully will be proved wrong though)
