Porsche Caps

Took delivery of 911 coolant and oil cap today but the oil cap doesn't fit. :(
Does anyone know if it's possible to modify it? I thought they were a straight swap, but the oil fitting on my TDI engine is slightly different.

Sorry can't help with the oil cap, but do you have a pic of the coolant cap fitted and where did you get it? Thanks

So much for keeping it standard!

my old post
Porsche water and oil caps something different from the normal A8 oil cap
oil cap not dead straight but not far out and could be moved around same as the A8 I think

Have you removed your filler neck by any chance??
I took mine off and couldn't fit the Porsche one, the R8 one I have now fits though.

, on FlickrNo I havent. Just completely different type of fitment. May have to resort to R8 oil cap.

Yeh I think the Porsche one is quite chunky so the R8 will probably be a better shout.
