Not sure if you really check this thread anymore but I will post anyways. Saw the car at Vag Tuner today and looked awesome especially on trackk  :happy2:

Thanks for the pics Dan,
Was having problems on track that day, blew a boost pipe to pieces and kept going into limp mode by shutting a cylinder down :(
We have tried allsorts to try and cure it and is back in as we speak,
it seemed to of started when the cooler was changed ?
Basically it registers a misfire and shuts a cylinder down, was always on no:3,
Changed coil packs
changed injector on cyl 3 (then the misfire went to no:2)
tried 3 different types of plugs
done bore scope (all fine)
comp test (all fine)
Smoke test for leaks (all fine)
General check on all wiring connections
Latest stage 2 Revo Map
back top old stage 2 Revo map
Tried stage 1 map
loads of logs, and shows the odd misfire on all cylinders, fuel pressure ok, boost levels all good,
Rev it to around 6.8k and bang cylinder shutdown :( it is now moving around and shutting down cylinder 1,2 or 3
Really starting to piss me off now .. Going to try putting the standard cooler back on.. on Monday or maybe try stock map 1st ?
Ive got a Ring trip coming up this week, so really need it sorting now (its runs great if not revved to 6.8k)

Any ideas greatly appreciated :)

@Neilgti  Bit late with this now, but did you get to the bottom of the misfire? Could it have been the valve spring float?

I'm suffering with a similar problem  :sad1:

Thought we had got to the bottom of it, after loads of logs etc, it was overfuelling all the time higher in the rev range .. which was making it run really rich when pushing on,
Changed the ECU and this cured it, or we thought it did ?
It was happening that often I could replicate it all the time,
After the ECU change .. I couldn't replicate it,  so I booked in at Cadwell to make sure, few laps in same old story !!

Hence why I've now got the Clubsport lol

Really good shout on the valve float after reading that would of been my next port of call,
Hope you get yours sorted pal ..

I just totally lost the plot with mine

Mines slightly different in that it's not cutting the cylinder like your's was, just missing like mad when over 6K. Hope new valves will sort it or i might be out for a clubsport myself

Fantastic choice mate, enjoy  :driver:

Maybe looking at the R8 V10 springs, cheaper than the likes of super tech etc

Thanks @Tfsi_Mike only really looking into it now, so only come across APR's offering at like £800  :scared:

Are the R8 springs something Alex would have mentioned? Is it a common replacement? Must do some research...

Alex is aware of them but I don't know if it's something he would recommend over super tech.  They just seem to be much better value for money to me.
