VWR 19" alloys
« on: November 23, 2009, 02:36:54 pm »
Hi

I just had a set of 19" VWR alloys (19 x 8.5 with ET 52mm) shipped over to Perth Australia and wondered what would be the best tyre fitment. I've got a 06 Pearl Black GTI which will be a touch lower than standard as I have the VWR sports springs fitted. I've had suggestions of either 225/35/19 or 235/35/19 but want to know if anybody out there has purchased these wheels and what tyres suit with out rubbing.

Hope someone out there can help!

Cheers,

Racer88

235/35/19 is closer to the 225/40/18 stock tyre size so I would say go for that.. There a little wider too so will help with traction etc..

I doubt very much you will rub with springs only and that high offset.. If you do just remove the front arch screw, very easy..
