Wax removal

It's meguires tech wax. The Weather was cool and the wax was left on around 20mins max.

Some waxes just don't agree with being applied to cold bodywork in cold conditions , the instructions will probably state to apply to cool bodywork out of direct sunlight

Try applying it thinner and leave on less time , try no more than 5-10 mins then take off , and make sure the micro fibre cloth is properly clean and free from contaminates or a new one

As above, each wax/sealant has its own properties which affect application, curing and buffing. I once left collinite 476s on for around 30 mins. It was a PITA to buff off and I probably inflicted more swirls. With 476s and fk1000p, I apply onto 1-2 panels (depending on climate), move on to the next and then buff off the first. With something like Autofinesse, I've had to leave it on 30 mins before it's ready to buff off.
