exhaust tips polishing

Evening all. I've got the standard exhaust on my mk5 GTI and the tips look like they have never been cleaned. The car had done 80k. I gave them a wipe with some metal polish and they came up OK. They still have loads of rust spots and seem to be stained yellowish. Any ideas to bring them back to life?

Metal polish, wire wool and elbow grease has good results for me.

Brillo pads are ace for exhaust tips!

I use Silvo and they come up a treat! Look in supermarkets in the house cleaning isles. In a tin  :happy2:

all i can say is good luck as it's going to take some serious elbow grease and results whilst always producing better looking tips than what they were can vary in how much better - so best not to have expectations of that stainless steel brand new cutlery look from the start  :laugh:  :grin:
