May I be the first to say thank you for a great review John! I bet you're happy, the figures speak for themselves! Looking forward to hearing the sound clips! Does it pop and spit more now???

Yes it does pop more, but not as much as I thought it would.

I have a pipe werx 3" DP and cat on at the moment, and that was a bragain anyway. so i have emailed them to see how much they would charge for a 3" de-cat.

the do a golf de-cat for £275 which isnt bad at all. im just really dubious of letting someone chop my DP up incase it went tits up. Plus if i bought the de-cat that would mean i can flog them off if i sold the car a little easier

my question is what sie would be best to get. miltek designed a 2.75" system for the k03 to get the mosyt out of it. So would it  be wise to maybe get them to make me a 2.75" de-cat, or even a 2.5" de-cat.

reccomendations anyone.

tony what size is your de-cat.

3" DP going into a 2.5" non-res.

Apparently with a 3" on a KO3 you lose a little torque, I can't see much evidence of this, but it's something to think of.
Sideways yo!

ah same setup as what i have now then. 3" pipewerx DP+cat going into 2.5" piper non res cat back.

im tempted to get a 2.75 made. Supposably there is very little differenc ebetween them. iirc dangb is still using a 2.75" DP on his gt28 leon, so if its good for that its good for my wee little k03. it might also cancel a little of the excessive noise off te de-cat by dropping slightly.

John  :happy2: I'm amazed tbh at the difference in spool and power.
Do you think it would be possible rig 2 tubes to run side by side DECAT and CAT whilst retaining the results and use a valve to switch for MOT time? (Im thinking not with the temps)

I don't think that there would be enough room in the tunnel for both pipes.

I'd thought about it, but then thought that it would be easier to just swap over the decat when needed.

that area under curve below 3k rpm is  :jumping:
do you think the normal fuel pump/stg1 would support a decat with cuts?

I couldn't say. You would see an improvement, but I've had to increase the fuelling to get the full benefit and I know that with REVO you shouldn't move the fuelling from F9 unless you have a HPFP.

....I'm running Revo2 on F8 with an oem FP - No problems and as advised by JKM with my Forge Twintake.

John, have you tried an MoT exhaust gas analyser with your decat pipe? Maybe the emissions are low enough not to worry about the cat!
