Decisions, decisions...
Good thing I have time to really think about this upgrade until next year, I'm getting married in September so I cannot participate in the last 2 races of this time-attack series. I'll come back stronger. :signLOL:

I will not gamble with the intercooler, I must beat those M4's.
But now I cannot decide between Peron and Wagner, good thing I've got a lot of time.

Help! Anyone?

I don't know of any direct comparison. They both have great feedback.

You can search for the more extreme projects and see what IC are they using. I think you'll be happy with either one.

I've got plenty of time to decide, most probably it will be Wagner, I want something good and bolt on. It has some nice reviews:

http://www.golfmkv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=180325

This week I realized that I've never changed my timing belt, forgot about this completely. The car has only 74000km but it's 7 years old so I'm pretty lucky I still have my engine.  :signLOL:
So I've ordered:

- HEPU water pump
- INA Timing belt complete kit
- Cam Follower (06D 109 309 C)
- Millers Oils CFS 10W-60NT

I've decided to change from Motul 300V 5W40 to Millers 10W-60 because I mostly race this car. This oil will be more resistant to abuse, I really felt Motul was to thin for the temperatures that my engine generates.
i hope it's the right choice.

And a short clip from the last race is ready, it looks really good:

Yesterday we've serviced the car, the timing belt looked as if it could take another 7 years of abuse:

...but the camfollower was near the end of it's life:

Unfortunately not everything was smooth. The thread where the motor mount sits was really damaged, don't know what happened there:

My mechanic managed to repair it somehow and put a longer screw there, I hope it will be ok.
I decided not to use 10W60 oil, instead I've gone for Millers Nanodrive 10W50 which should be better when starting cold in the morning and sustain higher temperature than my old Motul 300V 5W40.
I've also find out why my washing fluid was gone in 3 days, I've had a damaged o-ring.

Unfortunately I've touched the front bumper on a pole leaving the shop, trying to use every space available between one S3 and one GTR, and now I have a 1 cm scratch on the front lip.  :sad1:

I'm glad your mean machine is back on the road healthier besides that scratch on the front lip.  :drinking:
I too know how it's like to damage the lip leaving a shop.

The mechanic has solved this, repaired the thread, but we will check it in 3 months and replace the mount if it fails again. I already have a spare one, but not not from 034 motorsport. It's custom made, a strengthened OEM one.

The new season of time attack starts so I'll revive this dusty topic.
I've got a much bigger intercooler than the S3 one (Wagner Tuning). :D Also i removed the cat converter.
I bought new 235/40/18 Federal FZ-201 tyres...so now i need new wider fenders. I tried to modify the OEM ones...worst idea ever.

I hope these mods will help me find 2 seconds on track.
