The lip is ok will just do the rears. Don't think them discs will come off easy.

As long as the discs are still above the minimum thickness I wouldn't bother replacing them. I'd take them off though and copper slip them now though as it'll make an eventual change a lot easier should you need it in a hurry. Make sure to give it all a damn good and treat her a little bit better, she may reward you efforts. :happy2:

Thanks guys all the discs are within the minimum thickness. So i just replaced the rear pads. Simple job did it out on the road caught a bit of sun also.  :smiley:

The guide pin bolts that came with the ferodo pads were sh*t. I couldn't get them up to 25nm they started to round. Hopefully they are tight enough.

The boots on the guide pins have disintegrated.

I agree, those discs look fine, my GTI ones are worse.. next time I do the discs I'm going to slap on some Hammerite smooth to the bell and edges.  They always end up rusty.

My GTI discs still look new been on there a year. But i don't take her out when its raining.  :stupid:
