Had some work done to my turbo with a new actuator.. Mechanic didn't have a clip for the vacuum pipe.. Was driving around last night went to fill up re started car and have loss of boost could the pipe have come off would this cause the boost leak.. No lights on .. Thanks

Disco stew:
Yes you are right, it will require a clip to keep it sealed and allow boost pressure to be held. Used to happen on my turbo civic often with poor clips being used.

Its wont throw a eng light as its probably the wrong side of the maf.

ollyabbs11:
Where abouts is it ? Accessible from above or would it be under ?

robmcclel:
if you were running with no clip holding it in there's a chance you could have blown the pipe right out. If it's come out or even if there is a boost leek you should be able to here a hissing noise when you accelerate as the air escapes.

robmcclel:
Oh and your probably best looking round the back of the engine from underneath you might be able to see it from there
