Camshaft swap.. Any special tools needed?

<< < (2/3) > >>

dazza:
I'm in Spain mate. But the tools are in my office in london.

That may have been the one piece rev A cam? I'm sure someone will chime in if the cams from the BWA are better.

Ricky123:
Ok well I'll try and find out if they are. What are the cam differences on this engine range? Rev A etc?

How will we go about exchange if I need the tools as I'm in Manchester? If I don't need them then I'm happy to send you an intake camshaft for nothing if you pay the postage cost

doylebros:
Remember to remove the sump and replace or clean the oil pick up pipe

Common for them to be minty cause oil starvation to the top end of the engine causing the problem with the cams and chains etc.

dazza:
If you need the tools i will get them posted to you and you send them back to my office with the cam??

If you dont need them i can paypal you the shipping?

Rev A on the Left B on the right. My car is 05 axx and has a rev B. Doubt you will have a rev A cam. I think the BWA has a rev B but not 100% sure.

bacillus:
if I remember correctly the axx and bwa engines have slightly different compression ratios...
