The remote cable doesn't have anything to do with the speakers. The remote cable needs to go to an ignition switched wire for example the 12v socket feed wire in the boot or the one in the ashtray. The red wire wants running through the car to the battery and the black wire wants to go to an earthing point. then you need to connect the rca in on the amp to the speaker outputs on the radio using the line out converter.

As above ^^^

Remote cable needs a 12v feed to turn the amp on. A speaker wire will not give that.

I think you talking about an RCA adapter that basically splices In to your speaker wires to allow rca cables to be plugged in and get sound. That again shouldn't need a 12v feed? Well atleast I've not seen ones that do.

:notworthy:well this line out converter has a built in remote cable that states it does not require an ignition live feed this us what I'm confused about. Off to see an audio specialist tomorrow and see what advice they can offer me

Ricky123:
Unless it's got a 12v feed from somewhere itself then it won't turn the amp on if the remote wire goes to that.

Splice your remote wire into and ignition live like the cig lighter. Use the adapter as a normal rca converter, red wire to battery, Earth the black one and it should all work fine.

azzii1992:
Well can I run the power on the loc to the cig lighter then ground it to back of head unit then the remote will then turn amp on and off with the cig lighter power. Regard
