My golf on s-lines

Then grey rotiform blq's

Then a set of 3 piece rotiform blq's

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fee516%2Fcraig_davis1%2F2318c2ed.jpg&hash=d66a275a030a7ab6261daf051280aeab826e68b2)

This is where being scene ended and I decided to strip the car and go for a performanced based car, it started subtle but as in the title it's on the verge of being mean so keep looking

I decided to k04 it so I began to get all the hardware

Now for the braking some Vw racing 6 pots

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fee516%2Fcraig_davis1%2Ffd0f189e.jpg&hash=afca6bdcc6226db5f9bd8acd254966671d030649)

The engine bay

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fee516%2Fcraig_davis1%2F44db174f.jpg&hash=fb9c689beb462c6a644f87ef55e2d496c168e666)

Now I needed some coil overs with camber adjustment etc and I'd heard good things about these for the money so I got these

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fee516%2Fcraig_davis1%2FE56AE4E8-5AD3-4DA4-8804-C1E40D8D3722-2172-000001485870A37E.jpg&hash=40963f7f2879cb38d65ef4d4b6009cfc3a6f469b)

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fee516%2Fcraig_davis1%2FCDDDBD0C-0C06-4B8E-A4B9-AAA33F9D5492-2172-0000014863444F67.jpg&hash=c21577738ade4289defeccca766c1c0c8862fe33)

Then after getting a very capable k04'ed car I had an engine problem. Resulting it is neededinh to be rebuilt so this it where I decided to take it up a level.

I brought a bigger td06 turbo with rs4 injectors

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fee516%2Fcraig_davis1%2F3B9B422E-F56E-488E-A951-7574BB8614FF-290-000000113E7B76FB.jpg&hash=552d417e9941aec2cd83a16d39ae7d7932f4977b)

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fee516%2Fcraig_davis1%2F3900A4B3-D081-4D38-AC31-7485A4EF7A39-290-0000001123D52D6B.jpg&hash=3d24dca4ba3718654eaee04cdf95d412ac96ed08)

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fee516%2Fcraig_davis1%2FC24001BB-2511-4CAD-8862-6127B73AA178-971-000000FDAE1A3D4D.jpg&hash=fa3524fa185f465766bd1cf160ab697a8304d3c1)

Then I decided that the only way to benefit from a bigger turbo was to build a forged engine

Carrillo pistons
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fee516%2Fcraig_davis1%2Fnull-13.jpg&hash=54c4c3720abeaac5fe6004c2e135b3a2f070f439)

Now with a forged motor in the pipe line with an excess of 500bhp I then decided 2wd isn't good enough so I began to get the 4wd running gear.

So with my car with no engine I decided to do some mods on the chassis

Customs front strut mounts

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fee516%2Fcraig_davis1%2FACF0BC6B-D2A2-48A3-A8B5-24E96BFF053F-825-0000004C2476A834.jpg&hash=1c342ab4c4d3b45f8e4ca9c125b5ba57235d456a)

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fee516%2Fcraig_davis1%2F463375B2-8776-4F5B-87D1-120BD1B34CEF-825-0000004C533177BC.jpg&hash=bfcab704403374d9392e0ad0cb950d3f49d410e0)

Now for the read end to accommodate the rear diff but first I needed to remove a few obstructions
 (https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fee516%2Fcraig_davis1%2Fnull-17.jpg&hash=d5bfae208eddf34b7f3f1ca90faa0112ecd6f88e)

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fee516%2Fcraig_davis1%2Fnull-20.jpg&hash=843852769a647960724fd63e70bfa8669f37078d)

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fee516%2Fcraig_davis1%2Fnull-22.jpg&hash=5fd30bded191708f77c4579872b29837b6bdf6dc)

And I'm left with this
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fee516%2Fcraig_davis1%2Fnull-23.jpg&hash=cd948d0f199594c73b535a3ad8d1883ecb2c02e5)

Finally I can start to alter the rear
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fee516%2Fcraig_davis1%2Fnull-24.jpg&hash=7fe9e8e7b8ccf4b79efa03872a8a6b50b36005fb)

Solid plate welded in with strengthening box section underneath
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fee516%2Fcraig_davis1%2Fnull-27.jpg&hash=43b480572b0fdfe9468d31d48a3c88efb548f1e0)

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fee516%2Fcraig_davis1%2Fnull-31.jpg&hash=1c552ce1f3ee9f9b7e73b2ee7ac69072870352d3)

Now to chop out for the secondary in tank fuel pump
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fee516%2Fcraig_davis1%2Fnull-29.jpg&hash=0f94eea594c9075e3672e299637ea7953b659c4c)

Now all the fabrication and altering is done I can now start to build it back, new Quattro fuel tank with s3 in tank pumps
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fee516%2Fcraig_davis1%2Fnull-40.jpg&hash=5f915c295063fc404f4f486e01d36878dbd112a7)

Before I could install the tank I needed to alter the o/s/f rear brake line as its routed different via the rear axle
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fee516%2Fcraig_davis1%2Fnull-41.jpg&hash=c891082ac7dd92355bfed07c98167ca3902e83b9)

Quattro tank in
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fee516%2Fcraig_davis1%2Fnull-42.jpg&hash=c07636d767fab38dd1a048b65ca8d123e8a4535e)

Rear diff ready to go in.
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fee516%2Fcraig_davis1%2Fnull-43.jpg&hash=c6df17816cc3d467cce44003ffd31cfc12176dd4)

Rear diff in
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fee516%2Fcraig_davis1%2Fnull-45.jpg&hash=58757dfb5b0e58edb7b546291e2b5054bc7615e1)

No I needed to build the axle by installing my brakes and shocks
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fee516%2Fcraig_davis1%2Fnull-58.jpg&hash=0163dfe64e3d4450e11b379efd32e121fab9d5fb)

I've thinned the pics down so you get the general idea but my aim is to make a 4wd 500bhp gti and hopefully I'll have the car fully built and starting the running in process within the next 6 weeks but ill keep this updated. Thanks for reading

the show car was excellent but the above build thread is on another level :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

Thank you. It's taken 8 months of hardworking and plenty of overtime to fund it but thank you for the positive response.

Great start to a build tread: It raises some of questions:

1: What brand are the front fenders?
2: When going to all this trouble, any reason to why you kept the GTI solid rear disc brakes over the 310mm ventilated disc setup from the R32/S3?  :happy2:

hi, i brought the strut brace very cheap off ebay and thought it would make the engine bay look a little more serious but i vent noticed much difference, not £100+ they are new anyway and yes it bolts to the inner wings

Wonderful, I do like a different build.

I think your brakes are a backwards step, the VWR ones, particularly the Project Mu versions you have are faaaar superior. Performance wise, maybe not 'scene' wise.

Hi it came off various cars. The rear axle was out of an r32 along with the prop, the gearbox along with the abs unit and yaw module from an s3.

I sold the ko4 stuff to fund the build and I sold the parts I didn't use to get them my way. I still have enough standard parts to build 2 tfsi' though.

I took the vwr ones off as they kept warping discs and they had uneven pad wear too so I decided to split them to service them and I assumed they were ap but they weren't, I asked a vwr but they didn't help much so I the researched a company called ap Caparo and they were very helpful but the seal kit they sent wasn't for these so I got sick of chasing around for them so I chose the ttrs as they are lighter, have bigger braking area and generally were a quick fix as I didn't have anything to loose.

To be honest I've lost interest in it ATM, not getting chance to work on it but once I get back into it I'd imagine I'll get the incentive.

Brake vibration is 99% of the time attributed to pad deposits building up, only takes the tiniest amount to make itself felt on a proper caliper setup. To warp a disc takes a phenomenal amount of heat/abuse.

DS2500s for example are well known for causing this problem.

Not trying to **** on your plans, just with that amount of power and those Audi brakes having form for being woefully inadiquate, don't flog the others too soon.

Contact DaveB, he deals with ProjectMu/Endless stuff.

They were the pads I was running, I just thought I'd try these audi ones as they were a cheap fix.

Hi thanks for the comments. As for the interior I'm hoping to take it all out bar the dash and have a 6 point cage with 2 pole positions in it but that will be next spring

Excellent build so far. I really like the work that has gone into this.

There should be some interesting competition out there next year and I'd love to see this in the thick of the 1/4 mile action. :happy2:

Got a small update on a few things. I managed to install the engine only to realise the front arb was in the way of the prop so I ended up buying these

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F13%2F11%2F11%2F2ete9a4y.jpg&hash=70f904f91aeeba032fb92f0faaf14128330b428a)

Now I'm equipped with these i took the engine and box out to install the arb.

Engine and box in

I managed to grab myself some r32 rears too that I've been waiting to get at the right price.

DIY de greasing

This is what the car looked like last weekend
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F13%2F11%2F11%2F7esu3u2a.jpg&hash=8d6e6aeb6507f00f77f407d5ad2cb40a4cd329ce)

I discovered another problem last week too, my oil return from the turbo was shaped wrong too restricting the driveshaft fitting so I brought an s3 one thinking this would cure it .....
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F13%2F11%2F11%2Fuvu5epu5.jpg&hash=abd11bac1e0ce02dbd5e163373721976782cf397)
Because the turbo is bigger than a ko4 it caused me this horrible kink. I have sent the pipe to be altered so hopefully it will be done this week. M

Glad to say the car is coming together now. Still got a4 pieces of paper with jobs but it's slowly getting smaller.

Here's the latest pic

The wings are custom but they're about 3" bigger either side. The tyre is a 225/40/18 on a 9j

I managed to get half a day on the golf today and made some satisfying progress.

Here it is.

Brought an s3 oil return pipe but due to the size of the turbo it did this
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F13%2F11%2F17%2Fvu6ysuna.jpg&hash=d8357f5ad7edfb010b0826337232e9b28e2f83a3)

So I had a new flexi silver soldered and cut it to size today. Here it is fitted.
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F13%2F11%2F17%2F9u9azype.jpg&hash=dcac386a3db6766332b7b4b81185d465697ccef5)
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F13%2F11%2F17%2Fqu7are2e.jpg&hash=540bd6db86bf98c777fe9ea2cfaa1706732d5d43)
Put a driveshaft in to make sure of clearance too.
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F13%2F11%2F17%2Fdu7ary4a.jpg&hash=3104cdad6e3fe00794f4bd56ca5e717f6c79ec07)

I'll send the pipe back to be crimped and hopefully I'll fit it properly next week.

My next job was to fit the heat shield in the tunnel along with the prop shaft
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F13%2F11%2F17%2F7yte5equ.jpg&hash=6b49cb20777253ca2577278bea5f7036d6d9c554)
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F13%2F11%2F17%2Fube6ebus.jpg&hash=faa8b21056f9e0fc48dd9e0263ac398451c42f85)

I managed to bag myself an evoms intake that consisted of just a cone and pipe for £10 so I decided to mock up a sort of custom intake

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F13%2F11%2F17%2Fyjyjyned.jpg&hash=50c875a3316ed014f27098636d5608aa501db294)

I'll have some more pics tomorrow too.

I had a few hours on the car yesterday and managed to get my rear s3 brakes on and prop centre bearing brackets welded in

Old tatty gti brakes
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F13%2F11%2F25%2Fyjejabu4.jpg&hash=9a5e86dd0d2898911ca24f1cce7b364ddf7ac634)

S3 rears
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F13%2F11%2F25%2Fnarygumy.jpg&hash=f852bfa744a115b9b73d468f40c043a748f5c623)
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F13%2F11%2F25%2Fny5ebu9a.jpg&hash=0be34662e7cc0ab811a1af96ed19a59cdf7e63e7)
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F13%2F11%2F25%2Fju5ypeju.jpg&hash=c932d60dbf9fda27d2a1b272d4dff2203ce23de5)

Not sure if and one is aware of this but the gti caliper is exactly the same as the s3, so to make a set of s3's you only need the carriers and discs

Centre bearing brackets welded.
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F13%2F11%2F25%2Fy2y3a4ud.jpg&hash=37bac64f61a50d4aeb157e267797f7a16369fcb5)
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F13%2F11%2F25%2Feve4y9y4.jpg&hash=b52c68cc27ba237500ae677500325b39b383842b)
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F13%2F11%2F25%2Fa4ube9am.jpg&hash=c23dd09f0088b2d4f31e43bf82ac0ae06c943e91)

Heat shield isn't the prettiest but I will replace it with a proper s3 one.

After 4 hrs work it doesn't look any different but it's getting there. Another few hours and I'll be ready.

The car is fully built and all I require is some wiring for the Haldex if I want to keep it oe or a powertrack insert for a quick easy fix. I'll be putting the fluids in at the end of January and hopefully it'll run sweet so then I can send it for a custom exhaust at the end of February.

Got a few pics to share but I'll get more on Thursday

I'd like to be aiming for a good 470-550 with the right fuelling. Can't remember what the turbo is rated too but as long as it's a capable car I'll be happy. Don't really want to chase figures just want a strong reliable car

Coming together nicely. Love builds like this and the end result should be great.

Are you planning on a trackday shakedown at some point?

Gti caliper is different to the s3 caliper.  It's about 10mm wider to accept the wider vented disc.   Carriers are on the wrong sides. The lug should be facing down.

Love the arches.

Arches look well smart. It might have been said but what are they?

***found them. Are they custom?

Hopefully yes. I'd like to do the nurburg ring while it's road legal and do some overseas shows.

I'm sure they measured up the same and I didn't think they could be the wrong war around. I'll check tomorrow thanks for noticing. Must have been tiredness after a long night caused that slip up.

Hi. I finally managed to source some 10w40 mineral oil specifically designed for running in this weekend and I'm glad to to say after filling with oil, a few fuel primes and it it started. Didn't sound the best but I expected that due to the modifications so now the journey begins. I wanted to track it but I think this year I'll just use it as a fast road car and hopefully next winter I'll be in a better position to stop it, cage it etc. I'll be using the standard Ecu too.

So after going for my first turn of the key this week I encountered a MASSIVE water leak from the metal pipe the goes into a housing on the front of the block. After thinking about how to attack it as it's an absolute pig to get to I decided to remove the alternator to see if that made it easier, answer ........no

This meant only one thing, removal of the inlet manifold

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F14%2F01%2F13%2Fa2u5u8ym.jpg&hash=e692a692efd725efe59a8d046a4d6ef6c69a31be)

One it was off I had a clear sight of it and upon removal the o-ring looked in good condition but I changed it for the new one and it worked perfectly even under a pressure test for 30 mins while I had breakfast
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F14%2F01%2F13%2Fa2y6a9ad.jpg&hash=878bcf7d7d82dd87f1e6e5f0b3e0f1d2044c48be)
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F14%2F01%2F13%2Fuge2ybyz.jpg&hash=464b2ede232206114792aca37edc325c603c9c20)

I bolted the whole car together and ran it up an it ran great so as from February It'll be getting some serious goodies. Custom exhaust and intake end of February, mapped end of March and then once ran in all well I'll start the interior.

bet it'll be an interesting drive, SWB 4WD. Is it permanent 4WD and whats the power split?

wouldnt a full blown ECU open the car up so much as for its full potential power wise? I dont know much about the vag ECU's, is there a great deal of scope to tweak this, that and the other to get the best out of the engine?

If I get it wired as an oe car would be it's not permanent 4wd and it activates once traction is lost up front and I think it's something like 60/40 or 70/30 to the front. I can use an insert that manually make it a permanent 50/50 but I'd like to do it oe.

As for the Ecu I think there very tunable but don't hold me to that but a lot of people stick with stock ones. I'll run a separate fuel Ecu when I fit an uprated inlet manifold

Very nice indeed  :happy2:

With the performance mods you have done, may I suggest a diff (or did I miss that in this thread as already done?) and for handling I would consider these braces rather than bars unless you intend to fit a roll cage.

Hi I haven't installed a diff as of yet as I wanted to see how it put the power down first but if I struggles I'll install a diff but hopefully the 4wd will hold it's own.

I've looked at the unibrace but I think I'll go directly down the roll cage route.

....Ah, I missed it being 4wd. Diff best on FWD.

Yep, roll-cage does more than UNIbraces but UNIbraces are probably the best solution if not caging.

A single malt, cute blonde and a gti like yours mate would be absolute heaven.

How many times have you sat in it quietly and just smiled to yourself at job well done?

Have a quick word with Jay, I think he's drunken posting again on his build thread! :scared:

Got fed up with the car.
Sold it for £11k and bought this on a lease deal, saving me a fortune.

Got some good progress in the pipe line over the next two months. I'm taking it for a custom exhaust to rw developments on Saturday, then off to r-tech the following week to be mapped so I can run it in.

Hopefully I'll have the run in process completed by the 19th of April where I'll be taking the car to aks for a week to get the 4wd system wired in.

I know that's why I'm unsure about them. I'm best mates with a trimmer so might get them altered. It's not to my taste at all.

So I'm still managing to keep things moving slowly and I stapled my golf up to go to RW Developments for a custom exhaust.

I'll hopefully be collecting it Friday evening or Saturday morning as it's going for an mot at 10.00 am Saturday and I'll have some pics of this guys great fabrication work.

whats your full spec?

Similar to yours really but here it is

Cp carillo 83.00 mm pistons
Zrp h beam rods
Supertech full valve terrain
S3 bhz cams
Acl race bearings
Td06-20g turbo
Forge actuator
Rs4 injectors
Rs4 fuel pressure reg
Kmd hp fuel pump
Rs4 fuel filter
Re worked thrust washers made from brass (20v spec)
Arp bolts
Forge twintercooler

Think that's it on the engine but from what I can remember it's similar to yours apart from the turbo.

There a good turbo and cheap if anything bad happens. The turbo is rated at 400 bhp @ 1.2 bar, 450 @ 1.5 bar and 500 @ 2.0 bar so it's well capable of what I want.

Took my car to r-tech today for the map and hopefully I'll have a car to use next week.

Also had one of my seats that I had the trim altered back today.

From this

I've had the inserts trimmed in black alcantara for a slight contrast.

Picked these up while I'm waiting to get things moving again due to some unexpected problems.

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F14%2F04%2F01%2Fqu4eby7e.jpg&hash=3a1df4f0c1c4e3dd26f0dbeee70743e6a06aefbf)

Hopefully I can get them coded this week and installed ready for Alex to fit the polar system.

Also got these off eBay. Yokohama a048. Great bargain too with a good 5mm of tread.

Yeah there ad08's. They seem nice.

The specs are 225/40/18
Wheels are 18x9 pro race not sure on et but I'd say 35-40 ish. I have 15mm spacers at the front make it sit tighter but they sit well as a standard wheel to be honest.

Maybe 235 on the 9 but I think 245 would be a little big. I'll post a pic this evening of what the 225 sits like

I might have the interior off you mate. Let me know where you're based as I'm not able to travel more than a few hours from London.

I'd be after the front and rear seats, door cards if they are going and possible roof lining if its the darker, black one.

Read the title? Doubt this is a show car mate! Although I too would love to see it next to the taped up, polished to within an inch of the paintwork's life, far to flawless show cars at a big show.

Power and 4wd, what more do you need?

To be honest I'm having it painted when I have the rear arches pulled and it will be a high standard of paint but I ain't one that is into cleaning every inch anymore it is what it is and it's a tool, not a car just a tool for me to enjoy.

Thanks for the leather interior man, going to scrub it up and make it look factory fresh over the next few weeks! Out of interest, you're massive front arches got me thinking about a carbon fibre replacement from Seibon Carbon;

http://seiboncarbon.co.uk/products.html?make=198 (second row down)

Just think if you're going for stripped interior, to keep the balance a set of carbon arches and bonnet should loose a few kilos off the front end as well and tame understeer?

I'm not sure to be honest, I think Alex is too busy but I did book my car in February, took it April and still waiting. I'm hoping it'll be back for August as he's got another in for 4wd so I hope he won't start another one without finishing mine.

It's all wired in and working to a point. Needs a whole new rear diff and haldex though. Looks like it had been sat outside for a while and killed some of the internals.

Had the rear wheels spinning though.

Just waiting on a new diff from Craig and I can carry on with it.

It's an easy one as they're identical visually.

Well it's been too long since a decent update on this so here's where I'm at.

The gen 2 rear diff I brought is faulty so I've got myself a gen 4 one now

As I didn't get it done for this year I'm making sure so by April I'll have a full 12 point cage, 10" oz centre lock Motorsport wheels, fresh paint, and some custom bodywork to accommodate the wheels so I'm getting my teeth into this one now.

I'll post pics as soon as my parts arrive along with progress pictures.
