Title: Tej's MK5 R32 HPA Turbo. New pics!
Post by: Tejinder on April 06, 2014, 01:51:45 am
Hey everyone, been meaning to do this build thread for a very long time, and with being asked to do one by a few friends and members I thought I’d give it a go. It’s the first build thread I’ve ever done so bare with me!

Anyway onto my car

Bought this back in May 2011 as a completely original 1 owner from new car.

July 2011

It didn’t take me very long to do my first modification, as I had to replace the bulb anyway.

LED sidelights

July 2011

Also added the .:R logo on the keys as the VW badge was missing

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FTejinder123%2Fbuild_thread%2FP1030350.jpg&hash=a1e25922b2f7af3b491f16164911c93706873a28)

October 2011

I then decided that I wanted a new catback exhaust, but I loved the rasp of the OEM sound so much I decided to get the tips changed instead to fill the gap out a bit more.

October 2011
At the same time I also changed my wheels to a genuine set of Eos ones. I needed new tyres for my Zolders and found this set of Eos alloys with 7mm tyres for the same price instead.

May 2012

My next mod was one of my favourites, the Valeo rear lights. Absolutely love these.

June 2012

Decided to stick my Zolders back on as I preferred them over the Eos wheels. They needed to be refurbed, but I decided to try a new product at the time called plastidip. I was very impressed with how they came out.

June 2012

MILLTEK!! So after lasting just over a year without many mods I decided I wanted to change my exhaust afterall. Managed to get hold of a Non res milltek catback.

July 2012

I then decided I wanted to paint certain parts gloss black. Mainly the rear valance. I also decided to paint the black parts of the front grilles.

July 2012

Now heres another of my favourite mods. Recaro seats!! Was trying to find a good cheap set of these seats for over a year and finally stubbled across some in very good condition.

However all was not as simple as it first appeared. As my car was made and sold with a cloth interior I didn’t have the relevant switches or wiring loom for heated seats. After getting a VW geek I know to sort this everything was working perfectly.

August 2012

Felt that my MFD2 was getting boring to use, so I upgraded it with an RNS-510 and at the same time gloss black wrapped the surround. Also got myself a novelty switch and fitted an MDI kit.

September 2012

ICE!!! Decided to overhaul my ICE! Changed all four doorcard speakers to HiFonics with an amp to suit. Also added an Orion HCCA sub in an enclosure I designed and made myself, again I had to have a monster amp to suit.

November 2012

My air filter was due for a change so I decided to go for an intake instead. Fitted myself an EVOMs.

December 2012

Decided I wanted more noise! Found someone selling a custom made decat, this required me to cut my OEM cats out and weld the flanges on. Sounded amazing!!

February 2013

Since owning the car I always felt the flappy paddles were too small which didn’t encourage me to use them very often. So managed to get myself a very cheap alternative. These just stick on but work a treat.

March 2013

Also got some leather doorcards and armrest cover to match my seats and complete the full leather look.

April 2013

After liking the look of my black zolders so much I decided to peel the plastidip off and get them professionally powder coated black. Very pleased with the look.

April 2013

After the snow we had a stupid time of the year I had an issue with my rear wiper arm. The threads had stripped themselves which meant the only way to get it off was to be careful with a grinder.

Now that I had been driving the car for 2 years I knew exactly what I wanted to improve. That was the handling and front end feel in corners. With this in mind I set my attention on coilovers. A good second hand set of AP’s came up and I snapped them up straight away. Got them fitted and was very pleased with the result.

September 2013

Since I had my car I always felt the DSG knob was a bit tatty and was showing some wear. Got a very good condition second hand one, quite a delegate job to do without breaking anything!

September 2013

Got some H&R front and rear anti roll bars to accompany my coilovers to overcome the R32’s naturally heavy feeling front end. Got these back in august but only just got round to fitting them.

October 2013

After the last two years appalling winters I wanted to be prepared this year, ordered myself some winter tyres and wheels! With the chosen wheels being 5x114 I had to use wobble bolts to fit them.

Another problem arose when I discovered (after talking to another member on here with the same wheels) that Japanese cars use M12 bolts and VW use M14. This meant I had to bore the holes out slightly using the correct drill bit.

Very nerve racking drilling into your new wheels! The bonus is these wheels are 3kg lighter each than the Zolders! This is a lot of weight where rotational mass is concerned.

November 2013

With trying to strip weight off the front end of the R32 getting more and more important to me, a carbon fibre bonnet was needed. Got one that was painted black.

My plan was to strip this off the reveal that beautiful carbon fibre weave. The buyer assured me this was painted for strictly aesthetic reasons and that it was not damaged.

After 7 hours on the road collect the bonnet I was eager to start stripping it. Only to discover damage as soon as I did!!!!

November 2013

After two weeks of time consuming careful sanding, everything was revealed. Wasn’t pleased to say the least. Looks great with water on it. I knew the bonnet would need to be relacquered before I started. So kind of my expected finish wise.

January 2014

Sorted the bonnet fitment with the help of aerocatchs and it looked much much better and was finally safe to drive.

January 2014

Got myself some Audi R8 oil and coolant caps to try to add a bit of engine bay bling.

January 2014

Saw a very rare GruppeM intake come up for sale and thought it would be rude not to buy such a beautiful intake. This sparked the end of my relationship with the EVOM’s which I still think is a brilliant intake. After reading various reviews I also ordered myself some DEI gold tape to wrap the bottom half of my intake.

Then I started to apply the gold tape

February 2014

Next on my list was a mod I’ve been waiting to do for ages. Genuine US spec grille. These are notoriously rare in the UK and aren’t really available second hand. So TPS was the only way. The US spec grille is holeless whilst being the OEM colour.

February 2014

Another mod I’ve been waiting to do for a very long time. HPA Gen 2 haldex controller. Apparently the best modification for an R32. This was a lot easier to fit than I expected and the difference when in race mod was astonishing. understeer is now well and truly a thing of the past.

Don’t have any real pics of this, as it looks exactly the same as he stock one, apart from a switch inside to adjust the amount of power you want at the rear.

February 2014

Managed to score a Neuspeed power pulley, the difference this would make was always going to be debatable. The weight saving alone was more than worth it for me. 300g vs 2.8kg OEM!

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FTejinder123%2Fbuild_thread%2FPHOTO_20140124_131541.jpg&hash=d89bcc3b9610f6be089bb9fc5b73eb6bc59380fc)

Size difference of OEM and Neuspeed!

March 2014

Decided I liked the look of a carbon bonnet so much that instead of painting my current one, I wanted to buy another one! Incomes the OSIR double skinned bonnet. Fitment and build quality are amazing.

Lol neither did I until I started writing this! Future plans are DSG and engine map. Wanted R-Tech to do it but they wont  :sad1:

I love the attention to detail, for example painting the grill gloss black, not exactly ground breaking but it makes the whole thing look so much nicer.  well done  :happy2:

Unfortunately I dont have that detail anymore. When I changed to the US holeless grille I didnt have the balls to split it for paint, so I just left it lol.

Theres about 45 clips and they are all brittle, may do it again in the future though  :signLOL:

Wow a lot of cash spent well there

But I would of wrapped the rear of the recaro seats in carbon would of looked awesome

I wanted to get them carbon skinned but costs overuled that! I think I'm just going to leave them as they are

Didn't realise you had done this much work on it!
Looks amazingly similar to my mates turbo apart from the valeo rears and ur plate

Any future mods?

Lol neither did I until I started writing this! Future plans are DSG and engine map. Wanted R-Tech to do it but they wont  :sad1:

Not sure about the DSG remap for these, but Niki does Remap the mk5 R32. The TIV mapping alone makes a big difference on them  :happy2:

Great build tread btw  :drinking:

So I'll be taking my winter tyres off soon and putting my contis back on.

But I think I want to change the colour of my wheels whilst I do.

Anyway, I've done a couple very quick photoshops, changing the colour to gold and silver.

Can I have some advice as to which everyone thinks look best?

Firstly, heres the current colour

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fp518%2FTejinder123%2Fnormalcolourwheels.jpg&hash=263f6355cb6de89aa6307bdca4eaad0dd409a98c)

Heres silver

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fp518%2FTejinder123%2Fsilverwheels.jpg&hash=a7f384f38e3f95305111962f174f6ac6b5062fc9)

Finally heres gold!

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fp518%2FTejinder123%2Fgoldwheels.jpg&hash=f33d9305c75a29230d2e19cd95c9fa6dc81f0db3)

Any opinions are appreciated :)

Cheers pal. I think I am going to leave them the colour they are. I might get some plasti dip in few colours and experiment with them

So got another set of wheels as I liked them so much and have been after them for while so couldn't pass them up

TSW Nurburgrings. 18X8 Et45 and only weigh 18 lbs each!

The finish they have is a machined face with gun metal inserts.

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fp518%2FTejinder123%2FPHOTO_20140415_195858.jpg&hash=9925ad9c1f5825ebb442054020f15d5a6b6a550f)

After roughly positioning them up to the car I wasn't keen. I had half a can of plasti dip left and found a pic of them in a darker colour on an R32 so I decided to try it!

I've used plasti-dip before (documented in this build thread) and its very durable stuff. I used it for months before actually getting my wheels powdercoated. I cannot recommend this stuff enough.

Time for an update!

Fitted a sportscat and resonator in place of my decat and non res section. I've been doing more motorway miles and the drone has finally got to me. Plus I want to do trackdays and wouldn't have a chance passing the dB test with the old set-up.

Bought a MK4 on wednesday, main reason was because I've always wanted to own one to see the comparisons with my MK5, another reason was because it was a great car on offer and I didn't want to miss my opportunity to own one whilst I had the spare cash. Plans are to sell at the moment as I prefer my MK5 more. Weird how different they drive considering the engine is more or the same. Anyway heres some pics!

Finally got the chance to fit my TSW's and take my winters off

Originally had them in a machined finish but didn't like it. Ended up plasti-dipping them matte black.

Firstly some pics of the TSW's before dipping them

How does the MkIV compare to the MkV then? My mates have MkVs but I've always wanted a MkIV R32..

I prefer my MK5 personally. Main reasons are the refinement differences between the two. I think my opinion would be different had I done it the other way round though (have a MK4 first).

Plus my MK5 is DSG and the MK4 is manual, I'm pretty quick with gear changes but you just cannot beat a DSG change for performance and smoothness.

The MK4 is really a car you can love though, full of character. I can see why people always miss them and end up buying another one after selling theirs

I wouldn't unless you plan on going FI with it, you'll miss the shove of your torquey diesel. The noise does make up for this though haha

Just take yours to darkside developments and they'll turn it into a complete monster

Haha yeah for a short period. Thought I'd try the Mk4 but I didn't end up liking it as much as my Mk5, so I got rid of it.

Cheers pal

Cams should give a 15-20bhp gain throughout the midrange and higher revs. This couped with my other mods should give me around 290bhp  :driver:

Wot turbo u going for tej?

It's a 400bhp kit but I should be upgrading this to a 450bhp kit right away.

The turbo itself is a hybrid Garrett GT30

Thanks pal!

I do like the OEM Zolders myself, but at 12kg a wheel (4kg more each than the TSWs) they wont be going back on unless its winter
Plus they won't cover my brakes without a spacer now, and a 10mm spacer on the front gives me rub at my ride height. I know this from past experiences lol

This is such an amazing thread. Alot of time and effort has gone into this.

I think you'll need a FMIC though, I dont think I sidemount with do any justice on that monster setup.

Thanks for the kind words mate  :happy2:

The SMIC is more than enough for the 400bhp I'm going to run this at for a while. Even at 450bhp a single SMIC is still fine. But anything over and I'll need another SMIC.

HPA/HGP run two SMIC even on their 600bhp cars!

wow, thats crazy, One you got it all built up id liek the see the temps it producers.

I had a SMIC on my old 18T and it didnt do much so i though it would restrict performance on your monster setup.

good luck!

Great build but as previously mentioned, that intercooler doesn't look sufficient enough for the power its running. Im not doubting HPA's engineering or knowledge of course + a FMIC will look the nuts. It'll give people a little clue to whats underneath the bonnet  :driver:

We'll see how it goes pal

Should be fine, I'm not bothered about having a big FMIC on display. I'd rather the surprise factor when people think its a big fat golf and they don't know it's got a snail under the bonnet working away lol

I can't wait to go and collect it first! Then get the DSG mapped, do the 1000 miles run in, back up to Gaz for oil and filter replacement, then he'll turn the boost up and finally I can drive it to its full potential and get some dyno runs done

I think thats the ideal power level to keep usability. It's probably where I'll end up once I put clutch packs in later down the line

Here's some pics I got at Gaz's garage :)

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fp518%2FTejinder123%2Fimage-1.jpg&hash=21d40c66e1a60d2197e28824a07ee450ad71c287)

Got to Gaz's and was pleasantly surprised to see another Mk5 on the ramp next to mine!

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fp518%2FTejinder123%2Fimage1-2.jpg&hash=ce143973726b6a2e6b85165c9cd369b84ab94620)

Please excuse the current monster truck ride height lol, I raised it before dropping it off so Gaz wouldnt get any issues on the ramp

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fp518%2FTejinder123%2Fimage3-2.jpg&hash=ea9b665539eb0c288edc5c92803312667cacbda7)

So I collected the car yesterday morning and started the slow 1000 mile run in period. One day later and I've already done 382 miles of it haha. Can't wait till it's over and done with.

Heres a pic of how dirty it's got with the crappy weather and doing 380 odd miles in a couple of days, I like it dirty haha

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fp518%2FTejinder123%2FSnapchat-4039931168672162555.jpg&hash=c61e8b14b7e578fa740a9fc6e21da2e79537dd9c)

Just want to say a big thank you to all those I've bombarded with questions via PM and Text, we got there in the end :)
Also a thank you to Darryl and Alan at HPA for being such a great help and making the whole transaction very easy. Finally a thank you to the man himself, Gaz! He's such a knowledgable person with VAG cars and especially R32's and boy did he show it on mine. Glad I went to him and I;m sure it wont be the last time he works on my car... for more upgrades!

Just a quick update

Run in miles are complete :)

Went upto Statller on Thursday to have my DSG read so the guys there can send the information off to GIAC in the US. They'll be making me a custom DSG file for my needs. After speaking to John and Steve we thought it's best to get the Stage 3 custom file as you can alter and change it later down the line if you aren't happy with some of the changes for free.

The changes I've gone with are;

Revised D mode so that it doesn't go into 6th gear at 30 mph
Rev limit set to 6800rpm (may change this depending on how it feels)
Launch control raised from 3000rpm to 4500rpm
No kickdown in manual mode
Clamping force increased to deal with the extra torque (this will result in snappier and even quicker shifts)

So the plan is to head up to Statller once they have the DSG file, get it applied, then head over to Gaz's so he can do some final checks and make sure everything is running as it should :)

I'll keep this thread updated as it happens.

Tej

Once I've cleaned it properly I'll get some pics up of everything  :happy2:

The other choice I had was HPA themselves, but it meant I'd have to ship them the delecate Mechatronics. This meant an oil and filter change (which I did only a few months ago) and it was more expensive than statller too. Plus having had first hand experience with how Johns GIAC tune handles the extra power, it seemed a no brainer.

Looking good mate  :happy2:, so hard to keep a car clean this time of year. Personally i'd put the sticker on the other side so it look symmetrical with the R32 badge or get a smaller one as it dominates that side now.

Did you ever see the YouTube clip of the bi turbo mk4 R32 on the Autobahn?  :driver:

Let the throttle do the talking

Looking good mate  :happy2:, so hard to keep a car clean this time of year. Personally i'd put the sticker on the other side so it look symmetrical with the R32 badge or get a smaller one as it dominates that side now.

It doesn't help that I've had to do a ridiculous amount of miles recently haha. I've got another 3 stickers in black and white, so I'll play around with it  :happy2:

Cant wait to see it in the flesh pal

You will soon Ollie  :happy2:

I'd not have the sticker on there at all. Q car FTW!

Might even take the R32 one off and put Golf on the left and 1.2 on the right haha

Looking good

How's the new power feel?

Feels lovely so far, the extra torque is very welcome. I havent really had my foot all the way down yet though, DSG map later this week then I can experiment

stunning  :notworthy:

Nice collection of cars on the drive!

Thanks mate, living at home with your parents has it's benefits haha. Extra cash at hand to do silly things to a Golf

Looks epic Tej!

Id suggest HPA sticker on the other side same size but in black, keeps with the black/blue theme and looks stealthy  :happy2:

Thanks pal  :happy2:
Might just delete all the badges off it lol

I'd bin the sticker mate, as already said "Q" car (priceless)

Yeah I do like that video haha. The owner used to be on R32oc. He had two Mk4 R32's and a Mk5 R32, all running over 500bhp. He's now got 740bhp Mk6 R36 bi turbo to go with them lol

Videos will be available later this week

I might take the sticker off, plastidip the R32 badge black, then put a black HPA sticker on the side

I gotta agree with everyone else Tej.

Lose the decal.  :congrats:

Go to TPS and buy a "PHAETON" rear badge and use the HPA

I think they are smaller than the R32 but it will be the correct font

I did think about this. The R32 font is written in italics which makes it slightly harder. I was going to buy TDI badge for an Amarok as its also written in italics and use the T off it to add on the end of R32. So it says R32T.

It's a minor detail so we'll just see how it goes  :happy2:

Remove the R and put the T in front so it reads T32.  :happy2:

Haha didn't think about that one. I'm going to Photoshop about 5/6 different ideas up and see which looks best  :happy2:

Finally got the time to sit down and do this update

Lots has changed from the previous update

I'll start with the grille. I wanted a more aggressive look for my front end. So I had the idea of cutting 6 holes into one lol

Unfortunately I can't find any photos of the process of cutting the grille and cutting the bumper but heres some shots of the finished part

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FTejinder123%2FMobile_Uploads%2FIMG_20150727_181849.jpg&hash=f2dd2c951bce8ffa1d3c9345b6f77fa46a42a1bc)

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FTejinder123%2FMobile_Uploads%2FIMG_20150728_142758.jpg&hash=8aa6a9055a3cb0fa520d65ccb87e5e33e1535034)

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FTejinder123%2FMobile_Uploads%2FIMG_20150728_142808.jpg&hash=034a9d31be9ff9f4f2228e9a056218d3ec86db32)

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FTejinder123%2FMobile_Uploads%2FIMG_20150728_142817.jpg&hash=a57137d9808c8c6d86f80fe222224c542c313ba1)

Next up is a long standing issue with the HPA/HGP kit in my opinion. The intercooler! It's just tiny and way too small in my opinion. I was planning on buying another side mount so I'd run two but I decided against this idea and made my own big front mount instead. The pipework isnt final but it works. I will get all the pipes made and welded so its hard piped the whole system

Originally I planned on trying to use VAG parts so I went ahead and got a TTRS/RS3 Front mount. However once I lined it up I wasnt happy with the size and bought a huge front mount instead and hoped it would work!

Below is a pic of the TTRS/RS3 IC against my new FMIC

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FTejinder123%2FMobile_Uploads%2FIMG_20150813_152238.jpg&hash=a01aed4bdaec2b1fb5eb962f688e286396061863)

Mocking up the pipework and where I wanted the FMIC to sit

Once I was happy with the fitment I realised I had to mount the intercooler to the crash bar. Having snapped 8 drill bits, oxy was the only way!

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FTejinder123%2FMobile_Uploads%2FIMG_20150815_200844.jpg&hash=e973900b3a809ff09f4b59a0c795c31526aa6b85)

Now all that was left was to trim parts of the bumper and get all the pipework fitting right

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FTejinder123%2FMobile_Uploads%2FIMG_20150815_211921.jpg&hash=de833a39918111b58c9d76ccd3626825a4efa840)

Another task was the routing of the pipework under the bonnet. I've always hated that crumpled pipe in-between the coil packs but due to time restraints I couldn't remove it just yet

Before:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FTejinder123%2FMobile_Uploads%2FIMG_20150731_205215.jpg&hash=4cd03071b004b8acacdf7df74a8b57d7e7aacf1c)

After:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FTejinder123%2FMobile_Uploads%2FIMG_20150822_194122.jpg&hash=33b7672f69e28943b8694aef1c43fad5c97639be)

So will everything sorted I went ahead and put the front end back together

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FTejinder123%2FMobile_Uploads%2FIMG_20150815_134218.jpg&hash=2f3434f71ee0a958ac6e8963610acd7b035b6039)

I tried it with the lower grille in but decided I preferred it without for the moment

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FTejinder123%2FMobile_Uploads%2FIMG_20150821_124726.jpg&hash=ae63f56192f4ae159ef257a967197a9b714b820e)

Next thing was tyres and I fancied a change of alloy colour. The plasti dip was also getting a bit tatty at this point

Old tyres needed a change. Conti sport contact 5

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FTejinder123%2FMobile_Uploads%2FIMG_20150828_150323.jpg&hash=8195e12c0d2fd5245c889bf1b9b574c2474b2ee5)

Decided to go a satin grey finish and Michelin Supersports this time round

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FTejinder123%2FMobile_Uploads%2FIMG_20150909_150609.jpg&hash=ea0f991ec9f25732668e7597f8c452080c36c1e6)

Next up I decided to try an old intake. I sold this to forum member Zee a few months ago but because we're good friends he agreed to allow me to try the gruppeM with the turbo set up for as long as I needed it

I added a huge 4 inch clothes dryer extraction hose too lol

Here's some photos

In terms of performance I dont know which is better. The difference if any is minimal but the big difference is the sound! The open cone in a ram intake sounds amazing with turbo! The sound alone more than makes up for any performance loses

So with the car running better than ever I decided a trip to Shakespeare raceway was in order. My previous set up PB was 12.51@107. This was on the old clutch packs, old intercooler and old tyres. I went to Shakespeare with high hopes...

Some pics from Shakey

and all the all important timing slip!

NEW PERSONAL BEST! Managed a 12.09@113.6 pass on only 12.5psi and 400bhp. I was over the moon! Couldn't believe my home made intercooler and other small tweaks made such a big difference

Theres plenty more to come in the future as I have all the parts I need to go for more power.

To be honest it was my fault. Me and a couple friends went down the lower part where all the nice scenery is for some photos. One thing lead to another and those of us with 4WD started to do donuts and drifts along the green

Security came in their L200 and forced us out lol

That seriously is a mean looking car... I'm impressed by the finish of your plasti dip alloys! Where did you get your plasti dip from?

Thank you pal. It's genuine plasti dip from the US. All other products just don't do the job as well in my experience
