get paid on friday ant i think im going to be ordering a bra for it, not for looks as not a massive fan but i do abit of motorway millege and the corsa's bonnets in a state from stone chips so think its a wise move for when ive got long motorway journeys

29/09/09

well tried to fit HID's but its not as simple as the corsa they got bulb holders and decoders which was the simple bit but then the wiring bit i couldnt fatherm out, saul popped down and he couldnt either so wasted night on friday tbh

pressed plates are on

HID's

29/09/09

bra time lol
this isnt a regular thing just for long motorway journeys, it was fitted here as id just got it
only been on one since n that was for a 60mile motorway journey

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FLiver89%2Fgti%2F29092009069.jpg&hash=a915a1a7ebac81bc6aeb6b2e045ca5429a5e7d9a)

and also my hid problem

look below where both the wires going into the light are both coated black so i have no clue which is positive or negative therefore can't connect HID wires

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FLiver89%2Fgti%2F05102009096.jpg&hash=dff7d00aeb9401ab599ceaf83b135a63e9beebe7)

only problem is all the sidelights i have wont work as the car thinks the bulbs have blown due to reduced amp power with them so turns them off and light symbol comes on the dash so the lights are looking gay atm

cheers for looking

Great progress so far!

You just need to put a reistor in line before the bulb so the car doesn't sense the drop in voltage from the led!  :happy2:

personally I hate HIDs as have been blinded by them in the past. rest of the car looks sweet as tho, love the colour with the colour coded bumpers and skirts.
How are you finding the leather seats on long journeys?do they get a bit sticky?

cheers mate, i find they can be, especially on a warm day, so glad for the heated seats when its cold on a morning, they don't half wake you up when you first get in lol

yeah mine can get bad especially as I'm traveling around to job interviews at the moment in a shirt they can get a bit warm! spose you havent had yours long enough to experience leather on a boiling summers day! you have to open the windows for a bit before you can get in the seat! sometimes I think the leather is a bit of a pain but then I look at the interior with them and im glad I have it!

Looks good buddy, I actually like them in this colour, saw an R32 similar, nice to see them in not so every day colours.
My mate has the exact same hids in his, I saved up and waited patiently for a set of R32 Headlights to come up for grabs on ebay, and retro-fitted them. Possibly the best mod I've done to the car.

for the sidelights you can get some l.e.d ones with inbuilt resistors or pcb.

yeah i had half leather in my corsa n that could be bad plus my dads always had full leather so i knew what i was getting myself in for. They are deff worth it

yeah i know what you mean mate i havnt seen many in this colour, i wanted a red one as i found this colour hard to find for sale so when this came up i had to get it. I already had the hid's from my previous car so thats mainly why iv put them in instead of waiting for r32 lights, plus can always keep an eye out for them also

for the sidelights you can get some l.e.d ones with inbuilt resistors or pcb.

have you got any links to these mate??

Looking at doing something in engine bay next, wnating a camo theme and was thinking of viny wrapping the parts shown below. For some reason i want the pink camo but can't find it anywhere. Also need to look into it as the centre one will get hot so need something that wont be affected by this

or

OOOoooo my old wheels, little tip for you Liver if you get it lowered put some 215/35 or 40 profile tires on. They make the wheels look better wider bigger.

started with autoglym wheel cleaner, cleaned the face and inside

then later on clayed the face and inside to remove and tar build up and they came up really nice

now just a polish and wax on the face and a wax on the inside to seal them ready for the winter

then just need tyres swapping over

Liver - that looks stunning. I think the colour coding on the splitter + skirts and rear does it the world of good.
Very impressed.

Once it's lowered, it'll nearly be finished cosmetically, surely?!

engine cover got dropped off on sunday/monday
should be back soon

i had a few problems with my engine coer, few rubbers missing and a broken bulkhead so it was rattling, ordered the necessary parts and they were all fitted y'day and it site perfect now, also fitted the uprated panel filter y'day, only drove to work in traffic since fitted so havnt felt any difference yet.

My oil cap top had come seperate from the bottom part so a new one was bought and fitted y'day so engine bay is all sorted and looking swish just waiting for engine cover back then new pics will be added then

right i got my engine cover back last tuesday all nearly finished. Fitted its weds night and looks really nice i think

heres a few progress pics of it

before; as you can see there was a crack right through the top nearly putting it in two

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FLiver89%2Fnew_gti%2Flivercover.jpg&hash=59329e88c9e999509921cab55be98ea42c638c4c)

the guy then plastic welded the cover and fibre glassed the back for extra strength then bodyfilled front, he primered it and then kombi filled it. Then applied a guide coat, this shows up any defects and as the cover was really textured he applied primer heavy so the texture could be rubbed away, you can see to the right how heavy he applied the primer by how much had rubbed away already:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FLiver89%2Fnew_gti%2FDSC02690.jpg&hash=8c207ce2e17fa194be44e508376927462579e1ae)
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FLiver89%2Fnew_gti%2FDSC02689.jpg&hash=761392b6cbab09df1ce13ba57b28192ef8578225)
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FLiver89%2Fnew_gti%2FDSC02691.jpg&hash=fbc5b6e27fa52d85886d8785305cf94273773cdc)

after he rubbed away most of the guide coat and making sure the panel was 100% ready and blew the dust off, tacked panel and stat gunned the panel and applied a couple of coats waiting 15 minutes between coats:

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FLiver89%2Fnew_gti%2FDSC02692.jpg&hash=d87513be4f47d80bb4cc86b65a7e3ab77c96ab7b)

i havnt got any pics on the car yet due to my internet been down at home and also my n97 phoine has gone off to repair so no camera phone

also, i need to nip back to see the guy as he is doing all the lettering in red for m, he said he'll be able to do this while its on the car so just need to find a time when were both free

cheers

small update

had this rear badge since boxing day but never got round to fitting it

last night i finally did, cheers to ben for the help fitting this, don't think my car wanted a new badge at one point lol

old badge; this was a flat vw and has got a small amount of white worm on it also

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FLiver89%2Flowered_golf%2F02022010097.jpg&hash=29cbbe8960ba7f21f1e00d8a7ff0a11fe4f378bb)

new badge; no white worm and embossed vw

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FLiver89%2Flowered_golf%2F02022010098.jpg&hash=4ae050f189ca44ffc707252ac36e02ea595fb2c7)

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FLiver89%2Flowered_golf%2F02022010099.jpg&hash=41fed78d849339e2812d7c66549965ed7d716d23)

front grills still away atm

still deciding on a colour to do the red strip on the new grill its primed, thinking either lime green, florecent pink or maybe even gold to tie in the lambo badges. This diff coloured surround will only be used for shows etc not every day

Did you simply get the new badge, or a complete new mechanism?
It sticks out further than a new shape one does, so I'm assuming it's just a new badge stuck on. This is what I had to do to replace my old white wormed badge, but I had to butcher a mk4 bagde to fit.

Where did you get yours from?

it was a complete new badge and mechanism, its off the newer mk5 golfs, the badges changed after a certain year. This one was off an 08 plate ed.30

hope this helps

Thanks for that. It's odd though that it does not sit flush on yours like it does on the later mk5's. I wonder if the boot lid itself changed at all as well as the badge mechanism.

Yours looks like mine does now, sitting out a couple of mm. I was going to replace mine with a new shape mech, but if it doesn't sit flush, then I wouldn't be gaining anything so I might as well leave mine as it is.

Cheers

I have an 05 GTI, and it had the older shape 1 piece badge, heard that mine was one of the last ones to have this, and that they changed 55 reg onwards.
Mine was a complete new mechanism, only took about 30 mins to fit, and looks so much better.

mine is a 55 plate and i had the old shaped badge

it took the same although the interior part put up a very good fight with removal lol

they make a big difference i think

Maybe yours was made 05, but not registered until 55?  Have thought about carbon backing mine, though not sure, will probably just leave standard.

UPDATE

massive thanks to darren for the headunit and quick replys when i txt him during fitting

UPDATE

picked an rns510 up last night and got it fitted after football

here it is

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FLiver89%2Flowered_golf%2F07042010053.jpg&hash=9a5c15551cd820bdbc60d96eff2584516f9638dc)

taking old one out
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FLiver89%2Flowered_golf%2F07042010055.jpg&hash=853a79c9ffe67c5ee82e2f3273a1dee5e77db1f0)

old one out
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FLiver89%2Flowered_golf%2F07042010056.jpg&hash=320f4016bd968591055c7d7778b67b1033946075)

then i hit a problem getting the antena's back in, as you can see below the new headunit had a single plug type for the two antenas but my original one had two seperate ones, a quick txt msg to darrnen sorted my problem, the plastic on the antenas was removed so they could both go in

new one

Tip Top Liver  :congrats: They're an immense mod eh?   Very very glad I purchased one and I'll never want to see it leave tbh. As an all round media center, they're awesome.

Looks like you did a tidy job as your climate controls and surrounds don't look scratched or dented, unlike mine

yeah deffo, got speed cameras turned on now and got used to it all ready, very easy unit to use, improves sounds quality as well i find.

I just used a very small knife to get the trims off and was very very careful, i did it at 9 last night outside so was very lucky as it was in the dark lol but yeah not one scratch i was pleased

I had my plate in the same place and felt as if it was restricting the air flow so I moved it and it ran much better!

Bits are looking good mate we just need to get them all fitted now!

Cor, been splashing the cash mate. Some top little and large mods there. Does it drive completely different to when you bought it? Mine's not changed apart from slightly better braking

Did you consider putting the plate in your dash/windscreen with tape or something and placing the rear one in your tailgate window? I've always considered that purely for cosmetics, but at least you had a proper reason for moving yours  :signLOL:

Thought as much Al. I've never actually put any effort into it other than the thought, cause it looks smarter (obviously). I must admit I thought as long as its on show then you abide by the law, but clearly not

I expect it states that the plate must be mounted on the front bumper somewhere, like the Alfa 156's and Teg' Type-Rs have the square number plate a bit further round as opposed to elsewhere convenient.

Ahhh, I'm glad someones done that Liver finally, the wrapping of the door panels. I've had the wrap for about 6 months but never go round to it yet and didn't know how to approach it lol!

How did you take the panels out gracefully?
Looks a great job btw. I don't think I could do them as well as I want to without taking them out properly.
That bit of glassy plastic is the only visibly scratched section on my car atm, got to be done  :signLOL:

BTW, rear badge looks bloody good too. Impressed  :happy2:

get them done mate.

To take them out you need to put the windows down
then on the window side of the billar peel back the window seal,
this will reveal two torx 20 screws, take these out,
then open your door and the pillars will slide straight out,
less than a 5minute job to remove and a fairly simple part to wrap as well with only the corners been the real issue to take care with. Hope this helps you, if you need to know anything else i'll try and let you know.

when the car goes in the bodyshop im going to have to remove all the arbon vinyled parts or they will perish when the car gets baked at 80 degrees once painted

The stance is hottt fella

I'm glad you got that damage sorted out. Absolute kants use our highways which is a shame for us lot with cracking cars.
Looks top notch again though now :happy2:

The little touches like the boost gauge etc are quality and, - I've never had my MPG average over about 43 so 45 is an achievement!  :signLOL:

Did you do all the Carbon Skin stuff yourself?

How easy was it to do that bit either side of the centre console?

Ive got a load 3M Di-Noc stuff and dont wanna attempt it and got loads of creases in the corners.

Cheers

yeah id never used it before this was the first time using it when doing all the parts on my car, it needs time and patience but once you get going your fine, this part was the hardest by far and one side i had to do twice, its needs alot bigger sheet than you would think it would

i got my 3m carbon from underground graphics which when i looked around was the cheapest by far

Noticing much more power from the exhaust yet? It does say to drive steadily for the first 500 miles with a new exhaust on.....As if ANYONE does that!
Let us know how the tinting  goes, I have some spare lights and am tempted to do it out of boredom.

Such a perfect stance on the rear fella  :happy2: I wish mine sat just like that at the back  :indifferent:

Aren't you the only one on the forum with those Lambo wheels on a GTI? When I'm out and about, they're nowhere near as common as I thought they would be, which is fairly cool.

Some very good pics and I think the exhaust adds cosmetic value too.

Great build thread mate, some tasteful mods you got there!
Are your plates legal? I have some D banded pressed plates for shows but wouldn't mind some un banded ones for everyday use rather than plain 2d ones I have now and yours look subtly different.
Cheers.

Dubmeister make the legal pressed plates that a lot of us are running, can book online if you scan details and e mail them to them!

well had a few problems recetly, wont go into them really but was an oil leak that didnt wana get fixed first time round, but it got there in the end so im still pleased, did make me think about selling the car or just returning it to standard but in the end decided to keep and keep it how it is.

had that fixed and all sorted and stage 2 re-installed, got the WALK fitted and must say i am very happy with how this stops and controls wheel spin.

gave the car a quick clean after nearly a week away and heres a few pics

car went on the rollers at awesome on sat

well it ran ****e lol

woke up to set off to awesome and exhaust light was on

got to awesome plugged bluefin for fault code, the car then had a paddy, immobilised itself, wouldnt start or turn over or anything

got the standard map uploaded and started, then got the stage 2 map on and took it out for half hour, was boosting as standard and boosting different in every gear, 1st and 2nd was struggling to boost at all, 3 was maxing out at 10psi, 4th 12 psi and 5th and 6th maxing out at about 16psi

had it out for a few miles with it obviosuly still been in learning mode but nothing was changing.

Decided to stick it on the rollers anyway but wasnt expecting good figures or anything near what i should have been getting, this was proved right when it went on

heres some pics

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Ft56%2FLiver89%2Funtitled1.png&hash=fe1c493824f64db5f1ccb0aa81e4f9a0608405f6)

best run was 233.7 bhp and 333.48 ft/lb torque

was expecting between 250/260 but i knew it wasnt running right

spoke to awesome and they suggested it could be the pvc system as they are a known weak spot on these engines

so got back to r lasses engine cover off quick check to see if i cud see anything, nothing much tbh

few bits of debree in end tunnel so cleaned that out
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Ft56%2FLiver89%2FIMG_0202.jpg&hash=16d219544bc8746a5df55e78882143531701c750)

so now i need to contact bluefine to double check the map, will send them the print out etc and ask why the boost is so unpredicatble

so the continues to give me grief lol

drives fine, smooth etc and no problems, just not producing the power it should be

Took the car out to see how it was running, jst about to turn into my street saw my mum waved like a tool been silly, under cover traffic cop, looked at me strangely thought i was taking the pi** out of him, came after me, turned up my street, he followed with lights on, i carried on down road till i got to my drive and put can on it, then got out. was told to get in his car

did me for both number plates, front 3/4 and rear pressed plate even though they are dubmeister legal ones where i had to show documents, which he said he would follow them up as they have the BS numbers and postcodes etc that are necessary.

£60 fine and pics taken of both plates to send to the dvla so if im stopped again theres proof ive been told and they may take the plate off me

tool

not sure if it has sorted my problem fully yet, gonna put standard map on then re-map again after a couple of days on standard to see if that changes anything aswell, slowely gettin there i feel

Here's a pic of the broken PCV.
You can see the check valve inside is broken, the circular piece should be centred, but its broken a loose and never creates a seal.

the sound will take some gettin used to, its like having darth vader in the engine bay, will try n get a good vid to show the sound, havnt really had chance to notice the gains as cars had a steady drive when i have used it over the weekend but not used much.

Still needs engine cover chopping up to fit and also heat shield fittings as didnt have time to fit this, any good pointers for getting engine cover mounts off to fit heatshield? had one out before but was a ball ache and was slightly loose.

also a mate let me know you could see my car in golf+, was a feature on awesome gti and must have been done when my car spent most of its time in there

A very nice car you've got there :) even better that it resides in wakey  :happy2:

That's definitely a different way to go with the wheel colour! Would be pretty nice.

Also, never thought to use that business park as a photo place :signLOL:

quite good, really good finish and have the ability to0 take tyres on and off for you too

i had a set of oz super t's painted rather than powder coated and were fine

powder coated is just abit more durable than painted

I think you picked a nice red Liver. I personally wouldn't have the balls to do any of my wheels red, but it's sortof an OEM ++ look which is niche, but not brash  :happy2:

Against the calipers it shows how mature and dark the red colour of the Lambos actually is. Maybe consider doing the calipers blue now?
I'm still very keen on your rear VW badge which I'm nearly at the stage of doing. I think it's a must for us Steel Grey owners  :congrats:

well my monday started very poor when after i planted my foot off a roundabout i nearly went into a barrier, thn the tyre pressure sensor came on, pulled up into a laybe to find the tyre smoking and looking like this,

didnt have my bar and socket that fits the wheels, the standard vw supplied one doesnt fit so had to get the AA out,

here is the culprit
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Ft56%2FLiver89%2FIMG_0598.jpg&hash=1d5dbfbb43fae971d13aae48c433ded2d92a5ae4)

how the cars rolling at the min, gna try n get tyre repaired at dinner but not sure if theres gna be any damage to the side wall so may well be a new tyre

had to get a new tyre monday afternoon, the tyre wall was at the bottom of the tyre when the guy took it off

dam nails

very impressed with the car, it really is a great all rounder, a mate had bought some carbon goodies for his turbo'd civic type r, so i said id take him for them as it was easier to take them off prior to the trip

so went over with 2 front doors and a rear boot, he was picking the same up but in carbon, some epic bargains for him

heres the car pilled up

gave the car a clean on sat morning, i say clean but really it was just, full engine bay, all glass internally ready for winter, full interior clean and the just the wheels

not touching the paint work till i get myself another jet wash thn it will be cleaned and waxed for winter and not washed again till the better weather comes around again, it might get the odd snow foaming but nothing else

felt abit sad cleaning certain parts of the engine bay with cotton wool buds lol but got it all done

wheels
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Ft56%2FLiver89%2FIMG_0686.jpg&hash=31c7eff9103c1a4da80554d7c234bb5e0ceb8076)

then nipped out and once again tyre pressure sensor came on so nipped to check the pressure and front passengers only had 20psi in so home and wipped it off to find a nice big nail in it

so this is how the car looks at the minute lols

hopefully get my toher one fixed today

got the other tyre repaired and refitted on monday, had both front wheels off to clean inside and out and cleaned the arches and sealed them.

Car had its MOT today, it failed, my rear brake light in the spoiler has broken so ordered a new one, pick that up tomorrow and will fit it this weekend.

Car will be re-tested on monday

theres always something lol

had the car on the rollers today, its fair to say my current map is fugged

car peaks at 4k with 261bhp, then drops down to 200bhp straight away, car then progresses back upto 251bhp at the end of the rev range

it is deffo a mapping issue as the car is spot on mechanically apparently.

The map seems to either be requesting too much or not enough of either boost or fuel thus causing the massive drop when the car can't produce it

the car has a very limited power range and is very similar to a diesel like a power band

will be constructing a detailed email to bluefin over the weekend to send on monday first thing with my complaints, graphs and im also going to log the car at the weekend to help also.

i think im gonna aim to try and get the bluefin handset reset for free by them so i can sell it, to regain some money towards revo software

gutted is an understatement, just want a map thats right and will let the car perform how it should

Never get why people change there wheels for winter when there is no polished areas , dish , splits . Your red wheels are monoblocks and the weather won't do anything to them? Just my 2ps worth

if the snow comes, i would much rather damage the wheels that i have on now rather than my red ones which would be alot more expensive to repair than these

these are the pictures from my detail the other month

Detail day again

The last time the car had a wash mitt touch it was back in November. I’ve jet washed and snow foamed it two or three times during that time but that is all so I was hoping for good paint under the grime that was on top.

Before pics

(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FLiver89%2FGolf_Detail_2%2FIMG_1185.jpg&hash=bf70d4882b5fa4623d8f491f533920be9d421b3d)
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FLiver89%2FGolf_Detail_2%2FIMG_1186.jpg&hash=5149ffed8e11567de3b7ebb79ba63f1f532d62ec)

Wouldn’t be a detail without the snow foam shot
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FLiver89%2FGolf_Detail_2%2FIMG_1188.jpg&hash=087f0b25806302a3660c3c321e1c679f91912076)

2bucket method was used
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FLiver89%2FGolf_Detail_2%2FIMG_1190.jpg&hash=edfec84f8a779f150ef8ffdfe075e190af86f0f1)

Once it was washed and cleaned it looked like this, not too bad
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FLiver89%2FGolf_Detail_2%2FIMG_1191.jpg&hash=8cc35ca8edcfcf587edcfea5c70f944c85be5f7e)

Iron – x doing it thing on the paint work
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FLiver89%2FGolf_Detail_2%2FIMG_1192.jpg&hash=7421a38c27f82733855cd2c88bb5da0b606cb910)

Then onto claying, the car wasn’t as bad as I expected to be honest, although I was not a massive fan of this clay, I will be returning to megs clay bar.
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FLiver89%2FGolf_Detail_2%2FIMG_1194.jpg&hash=ad235a15fae84980b117ef70db93db174a5617a4)

Worst part of the car was the lower part of the rear bumper
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2FLiver89%2FGolf_Detail_2%2FIMG_1195.jpg&hash=31df8e8f44f525b323737e50c22254a5bc44cf02)

Amazing looking car hats off :congrats:

You got 2 number plates on top of each other on the rear ?

no its just one plate on sticky pads; the plate is a pressed metal plate

3 weeks tomorrow me and the car are making a trip the the ring

got a few things to do before then; one thing mainly is my dissertation but others include

fitting my uprated fuel pump; changing the stage 2 map for stage 2+ and hopefully getting cruise control fitted

Are you staying with the bluefin for the stage 2+ or are you going with a revo map ?
Title: Re: My GTi Progress Thread
Post by: liver on May 07, 2012, 07:29:51 pm
im only running the car at stage 1 for the trip, as soon as i am back i will be splitting the car and selling it standard

personally i would say revo are leaps above bluefin, i got the blufin cheap though and cudn't justify the extra money for revo at the time.

i wish i had gone revo from the start
