A good option for the FMIC is to use an OEM S3 one.

Re. Question 3 - The price i believe will depend on whether it is for a manual or DSG variant.  Probably around £600 for manual and £800 for DSG; assuming for road use.  LSDs for track use can be much higher.

Unsure of the fitting duration for this but it will be much higher for a DSG car given the extent of work involved over the manual.

AMD offered me to supply and fit an LSD for just over 1k last year.

FMIC- option wise look into the S3, THS and twintercooler, all of which maintain the front bumper

Decat Downpipe, willl produce a light, but the stage 2 remap will turn that off

....You should budget £1,000 for a Quaife ATB diff.

The S3, THS, and Twintercoolers each deliver very similar performance from what I've read. The S3 and THS involves much more labour installing and the Twintercooler is more expensive to buy, so it all evens out.

The supplied oem spark plugs are absolutely fine and don't need upgrading unless you are going to Stage3!

I cant see the S3 intercoler performing as well as the THS or twintercooler, however for a GTI where your realistically only going to make 280hp max then id say it would be ok, if i had an Ed30 pushing 360Hp id be looking into something like the THS/APR intercooler, or an S3 cooler mated to a twintercooler.

The americans have found that in their summers that the S3 cooler wasnt upto the job,

Sy, isn't there a thread somewhere on this site where some comparitive logging info was posted? It may have been comparing the THS with the better known other brands.. by DomT perhaps?

ok i have booked the car in to have Milltek dp's
the question is do i have sport cats or no cats
MRC have told me that no cats is the way forward and then i will need a stage2 remap
AMD have told me that i should have sport cats and THAT NO PETROL CAR SHOULD BE DE-CATTED ???? doesnt sound write to me

The car is having a full service - Oil, Air, Pollen, and spark plugs

then the Milltek dp's the following week, still considering weather to go for the fmic.
