Thanks for those part numbers, will be a massive help. If they work with the brackets from Creation Motorsport I'll probably take the plunge and order some used Aston Martin ones, as I'll get all 3 sets of calipers completely refurbished.

This is getting g silly now, its supposed to stay stock FFS...

With 3 sets of calipers i think you'll be in the price territory of AP Racing or VWR.

I certainly will be, but the cost of those fronts alone will be the same as front and rear upgrades if I do most of the sourcing and work myself, plus I can spread the cost over some months.

If all else fails, I'll use the brackets that allow the use of the stock rear discs and calipers (as the hand brake) and then fit the 4 piston rear as well. Works out cheaper.

Well the kit from Creation Motorsport allows you to use the stock caliper as the hand brake and keep the stock 310mm disc, but mount 4 piston brakes that do the actual braking. I'm sourcing a set of 6 piston fronts to use as we speak, seeing as this plan has gone from just an idea to a definite build. Bigger brakes are never overkill as long as they're not excessively large. The number of times my larger brakes on my GTI saved my bacon has made me want to do it as modification number one, as in the words of Revo "power is nothing without control". True that!

Totally agree about the need of bigger brakes, but I never felt the need for bigger than 310mm discs + OEM 41mm pot caliper + Carbotech XP10 pads rears (maybe because I'm FWD, the rear is lighter), but I've definitely felt the need for bigger fronts. I've boiled the brake fluid so many times on track that I've lost count (RBF660, SRF), the rears were fine, but even the AP Racing 6 pot fronts have overheated.
Now I'm in the process of building some ducts.
Any way, as long as you keep the balance, the rears to have less braking power than the fronts, so you can induce some oversteer entering the corner (trailbraking), it is a nice upgrade.

See, I'm in a 4motion so the rears do a bit more of the braking than in a FWD (in theory). More to the point, it's just a learning exercise as no-one really does it so it's probably worth documenting so others can do it if they wish. We're spoilt for choice when it comes to front brakes but very little on rears.

Having said that, I do need to look into the Audi RS4 330mm rear upgrade and see what's involved as well, mainly for the sake of knowing. Think I read somewhere that it requires a hub conversion but could be wrong...

The other thing I need to try and work out is wheel clearance. Does anyone know if Team Dynamic Pro Race 1.2's will clear the front/rear calipers that we're talking about here, or will I need a 5/8/10mm spacer? Was kind of thinking I'll need 5mm front and rear but if anyone knows that'd be a time saver!
