heated seats not working any ideas

the front drivers seat on my mk5 golf is not working atall the passenger seat is only working on back rest any ideas please

Elements within the seat are probably burnt out

The seat covers need taken off, and finding elements second hand are not so easy (new are very expensive).
Have a look for any kind of burn marks on your covers.

Recently put heated seats in for my mate and his drivrs seat wouldn't heat, need d to get another seat and swap elements over for it to work.
