Glad to hear you've got your car back and relatively happy mate. Dealing with insurance and claims companies is an absolute nightmare!
Hope your back isn't giving you too much trouble either.
Any claim there will take about 2 years... they go slow!

seriosuly happy its back in my possession that's for sure. I don't trust anyone with my car TBH. I'm not really worried about the claim for injury at this moment in time.
my backs feeling better but shoulder not so good because I still feel some pain in it. Going for physiotherapy next week so hopefully fully recover soon.

Update to car and repairs!.

My car has now been declared a total loss Cat D and glass value is recorded @£4950.00 less the salvage value £990 therefore I will be getting £3960.

Not what I was hoping but at least I have my car back and things will get moving soon.

Parts have been purchased and just need fitting and painting less the front bumper as I'm still looking into this.

Thanks

Is that all the r32 mod is take them off and spray the insides black? If so I will forget buying r32 lights and just do mine myself? Great job so far on your gti mate looks great o

yes but the only downside is trying to open up the lenses without breaking or cracking them. Otherwise it's spot on as I've still got mine

Thanks it been hard work lol

shame it's been in an accident and now I have to repair it back to this condition but paint will be much better with no stone chips as I've just been to a garage for a quote and his jobs are spot on

laughing my socks off  :signLOL: not with a wife like mine

£500 for the remap and dsg map

Still need WMI so £300 ish and that's it unless I got K04  :scared1:

Repairs and paint will cost in excess of £1200 of I get the alloy wheel for cheap and not to mention the one some twat at the claims or storage place  :slap: when is wasn't in my hands curbed the right hand side wheel and as I'm so OCD I'd want that done too. Brand new wheels messed up  :sad1:

Oh and I also forgot to mention the new dent on the N/S wing and O/S wing although they're going to be replaced

Full frontal paint and both doors being lacquered in costing  £550

cheers peskyjones, I kind of dreading fitting it on as there's a lot of work involved and not enough time in the day either
