Heating.
« on: Today at 09:04:31 am »
Hello Everyone.

My GTI is not warming up when the climate control is turned on.
Every morning I have to turn off the climate control panel to get the engine up to temp and then once it reach 90 degrees I can put I can turn it back on and to Automatic.

I have changed the thermostat to OEM and its still same.

Any other ideas ? Blocked heater matrix ?

The car is manual 2005 ?

You will also have inline thermostats being an early GTI.  Used to have the same issue and kept changing them as they failed every couple of years on me, until I re-plumbed the car to the later design where VW did away with the inline stats

Change the inline stats (one extra one if you have DSG)

Here is my thread on the re-plumb
