Deffo the best fast road, all weather (except snow), tyre I've had so far. I haven't tried the Michelins.

the good year assmetric  mrk2 tyre is a 88y but the older ones were a 91y

So the old ones have higher load rating? How does that effect in real terms?

the 91 is the loading deck and the y is the speed rating which are perfect for your car..but for some reason the good year asymetric 2 tyre has a lower loading deck of 88 than the standard tyre of the gti of a 91....if that all makes sense

Got them on, and the seem both quieter and grippier even though they are no where near bedded in yet

They will be quieter just because of the increased tread block height and possibly grippier but you did say you had Falken F452's so then definitely grippier.  :wink:

Exactamondo... im sure those falkens are coated with PTFE!  :scared:

....Which panel filter are you running on though? That's what helps a stock or Carbonio intake I'm told.

....Reputed to be the best  :happy2: - That's what I had when I was running a Carbonio. I know that the Carbonio has only an eye-candy reputation but it does improve the airflow over the very convoluted stock one. It's just that the results don't deliver significant bhp.
