I wanted an ITG panel filter then read a big thread on oem panel filters/mafs/oil/replacements and have been put off, so would you recommend?

To be honest... i doubt there is much difference between any of the filters including OEM.

If your looking at any cold air intake system, you will need to update the fuel pump aswell, or you will be into fuel starvation issues/flat spots under full throttle. Cotton element filter avoids this, slightly improves air flow and increases throttle responsiveness slightly, but obviously doesn't give you a 10-15bhp gain which a CAI system would.

Really does depends on how deep your pockets are chap.

Really steve? I thought that you could; for example, run an ITG and down pipe with stage 2 software without upgrading the fuel pump?

....If you mean in terms of performance gain then probably not, and certainly insignificant. However, surely the different panel filters will vary in their ability to filter debris etc effectively. The OEM paper filters are only effective if you replace them very regularly and also they don't physically fill the OEM airbox as fully as the ITG for example. Naturally, the various manufacturers make claims about the advantages of their products.

You dont need a uprated pump to run a CIA.  :chicken:

depends on the map your running, I wouldn't run Revo stage 2 on the ed30 without an uprating the fuel pump.

Your getting all confused MR Saint. Why would you not run Revo without a pump.
