My Ed30 has had this done twice in its existance. . . probably why my rear screen is scratched to buggery  :sad1:

Hope Alex has a soft mat to place over it whilst he is replacing the light for you  :wink:

No, the garage i bought it from had just done it to pass the MOT. Looking through my reciepts, the previous owner had VW replace it for him.

Pritty sure there is a how-to guide on here which involves smashing the unit and replacing

I am gonna remove the boot trim and test the wire just to make sure it IS the light thats at fault.

Well... took all the boot trim off and tested the HLB wire and its running 11.XX Volts... so its the actual LED unit that is.

Cost from VW is.  £48.18
