Seperating grills...

Hi
Can anyone help me in figuring out how to seperate the main centre grill into its two seperate parts?... i understand the outer part is seperate to the main 'slats' where the vw badge is...

feel's like im gna break it when i start picking at tabs..

The grille is one part and cannOT be separated. The tabs you are referring to are probably he gti red strip which is he only part you can remove
Other than the VW badge
