Also forgot to say that there is going to be another price increase from Ford. At the moment I think it is just the RS, he said about £600 pounds increase from 1st July. All told the increase takes the standard car up to £26,300 ish. Never had a call back from either dealer today, obviously too busy selling cars to have the good manners to ring me and say no thanks.

Again thanks for the welcomes.

Nothing so far. Don't know if it is a game they play but really annoyed to have no calls from either of the dealers to accept or turn the offer down. I hate people who say they will ring back and then don't. Makes me think if they are that unprofessional what trouble will I have if I have a problem with the car.

Hello and welcome Paddy :)

Hope you get a call that is so unprofessional. I called for a Altea for the wife had a good trade in they said call you back with a price and they didn't. Makes you think they can't be bothered to earn the crust.

I rang Robinsons about 2 hours ago to speak to the sales woman, she was busy so left a message with reception. No call. So rang again an hour later she was still busy so left another message.

Hello mate, hopefully you can get a deal sorted on a Pirelli, I love mine and there's plenty more power/handling potential in the car to come. I got a brand new un-reg Pirelli 2-ish months ago, lower spec than your 1st choice car, but I got 11% off list price offered v.quickly and took it, so it's worth pushing for the right deal as there are still these un-reg 'old model' ;)  cars lurking in VW dealer stock!

Am sure the RS is awesome to drive but, having seen one on the road today, it looks pretty chavvy. Although at the time I was tailgating my old Mk 4 R32 Golf, which I haven't seen since the day I part ex'd it 5 years ago, and so the RS only got a fleeting glance!
09/09 Pirelli GTI.
Also had 2 other Mk 5 GTIs; white in 07 - getting a bit common now! ;o) - and laser blue back in Jan 05. Plus Mk 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 Golfs of every persuasion, Corrados, A3's and TT's! So yeah, bit of an addict - yip yip

I am still looking for a Pirelli or Ed 30 but I will definately be getting the RS. I haven't decided whet to do with it yet but I will buy it.

Just a quick update if anybody is interested. Looks like it will be a RS for me. It will be here by the first week of August but I will leave it until Sept. it has all been confirmed by the dealer and a friend. Would love to have joined the form properly as it seems a really friendly place and obviously I would have loved to own a ED 30 or Pirelli. Thanks for the warm welcomes and good luck.

good luck and get some pictures up. I'm sure you will enjoy the RS just as much, at least you should be able to run it for the year and probably make a small profit on it.
