Ball Joints & Turbo Discharge Pipe
« on: January 29, 2013, 03:40:00 pm »
My car's in for a service today with VW - They've called me to say there's play in my drivers side ball joint and the seals have gone on my turbo dischange pipe.

They quoted me £106.02 to replace the ball joint, with the joint itself costing £27.35. I was also quoted £58 ish to replace the seals on the turbo discharge pip, parts costing £7.98

Anyway I've asked for the parts to be available when I collect the car and I'll be taking it to an independant to do the work - How long does it take to change a ball joint and is it best to do both sides even though there's only play in the drivers side?

Thanks in advance
