Maps won't update on RNS 510

Hi, I recently updated my firmware to version 4120 and it went smoothly and everything seems to work on the unit.
However when I inserted the v12 map dvd it said cd/dvd error. I bought a non genuine map update from eBay and tried burning my own but neither have worked.
Has anyone got any advice on what the problem could be?  Thanks David

RNS-510 can be picky with the DVD you use. Get a Verbatim DVD+R dual layer and burn at 2x or near that.

Yeah that's exactly what I did, is it possible it will only accept a genuine disc? If so where can you get them from at a reasonable price?  Thanks David

Never needed a genuine DVD and I have 2 RNS-510 at the moment updated to the latest maps (V12 - 2015). I've had a version A and a version B before and the version B was a bit difficult to update, so I sold it and got a version P that was easier to update. :happy2:
