is it worth getting the side-to-side shortshift ? im gettin the front to back...

My friend I use Neuspeed's Short Shift kit and I'm very pleased with it.
The kit reduce only the throw length between gears very much.
Worth trying....
For the side-to-side shortshift.......... I don't thing you will see much difference.

unfortunately the garage im going to, only have the forge kit, said they install like 5 a week without issues, so going to go for that.

just not sure if i should get the side to side same time... probably an xtra £60 or so

I believe you "must" wait.

Install the front-to-back first, play with the car and if something's "missing" go for the side-to-side.

i have the forge front to back one. It made it feel a lot better, changong gear in a car without one now, is horrible. iirc mike_tfsi has the front to back and side to side, and i didnt notice to much difference. I certainly dont have it on my list of mods that i want. more than happy with it likethis.

If its to close you run the risk of missing gears as well
