What's the best way to paint these brackets?. I wanted to powder coat them but my local is way too far away.

Abrasive wire attachment in a bench drill. Use a wire that will remove the paint but won't scratch the metal!

Polish them down to bare metal and then paint with a temperature resistant spray paint. If you spray paint it gives a more even finish when done right!

Then lacquer with temperature resistant stuff also!

No where to paint them and hang them to dry as work pr*** manager had a go at me as one of the prep guys had them laying around in the bay for days and he seen them. All I wanted was the paint removed but he primed them without asking and didn't do a very good job of the removal process

Good news. I'm sure there's still stuff to sort but at least it's a bit of progress for you.

definitely happier thanks. Not started repairs as yet as I need to find a front panel and maybe collecting one this evening from Birmingham if all goes well but for now going to have a look at a aygo for my niece as her first car and if I buy it then drive to Birmingham pick up the panel. Oh crap wait nooooo I can't collect as it won't fit into a smart car

Yes AJP if I didn't call the engineer and tell him about the passenger wheel and suspension damage the claim company would have repaired it and scre*** me for the rest. Will update when parts and repairs start  :happy2:
