DSG Gearbox Flashing PRNDS
r5gtt:
Hi Yes that's the place as have been given good reviews from other tt forum members so can't be bad.
You'll need to contact them to find out if they remove the box or if you would need to get it taken off and sent there.

Place in nottingham called slaters fitted a new mechatronics for me under warranty.
They seem specialise in dsg gearboxes, they seemed to know their stuff maybe worth giving them a phone.

UPDATE:
Sent the guys at Bristol Gearbox Centre my fault codes above earlier this week - they were sure it was the ECU at fault.
I and my car were collected from home at 6.15am on Saturday (yesterday) and off we went to Bristol for 8am.
The mechatronic unit was switfly removed from the car and was then opened up using a dremel. From what I understand, most of these faults arise from a bridge in the ECU breaking contact (e.g. the wire had come away from a contact at one end). Once open, each bridge was checked carefully for breaks - one was identified and completely replaced with copper wire and soldered in place. I got to watch this process on a screen connected to a magnifying glass (the technician was sat next to me). It was quite an interesting thing to watch as it was so fiddly!
I also got to see a "repaired" ECU that was still faulty from a competitor and was able to compare it to the quality of BGC.
The whole process took about 4 hours in total, I was able use a computer and play pool whilst waiting.
I would recommend the guys at Bristol Gearbox Centre after watching the meticulous nature of the technician fixing the ECU - plus this garage specialised in VAG gearbox problems and have a vast amount of knowledge.
Car is now back on the road and driving as good as before! I need to find out if the R-tech DSG remap I had on there needs re-applying.

Thats a good result man. Did you find out who this competitor was so that we can avoid going to them.

That sounds quite painless and very positive. If you don't mind me asking how much did this set you back?
