Is Facebook killing off the traditional forums?

At the moment 3.5 gb of storage is used 2.5 gb of this is the database.

Website uses about 100gb of bandwidth each month.

I think the thank you button shows a gratitude opposed to just liking something, you would thank someone for advice etc but you wouldnt thank a nice build thread.
