What sort of filler did you use? How's it holding up to the heat?

Just installed mine again tonight. Had the TWINtake pipes ceramic coated (not that it'll help much, but i'll do the downpipe next week when the car's in the shop for the LSD & mounts). Only cost £40, so thought I'd do it.

Engine cover was dremel'ed down, paint prep'd and painted in matte black. I quite like things looking monochrome & simple. Was considering red, but thought it would be OTT. I like the whole OEM+ kind of look.

Im not normally a fan of Engine Bay cosmetic mods. Just prefer it to be kept clean

I think you'll find that ceramic coating will help temperatures even if it's only a little. Did you get it done in the UK?

I got it done down here. I got the kit from someone who tried it and felt that it was too noisy for him. I begged to differ and picked it up cheap from him. He'd added the bung for the remote DV and the paint job on it wasn't great. I wanted to repaint it anyway, so I stripped it back and had a local guy do the ceramic coat. I'm pretty happy with it.

Need to see whether it causes me any grief with my tune again though. Was having a series of issues (most of which are well documented by many people). So trying to get to the bottom of it. I have a flow straightener ready to add before the MAF. Just looking into securing it. Also looking at modifying some pipe into the oval shape of the OEM cover for the MAF area. Plenty to get on with.

@ Paulk. I've just using the front 2 rubber mounts. Seems pretty steady to me.

I'm a bit 50-50 on carbon too. I hate seeing it swamp everything. Subtle touches here and there amongst black seem to work.

Mine is also mounted by just the 2 front rubber mounts and I re-used a pipe clip at the rear left corner which holds it ok, I did noticed the rear right hand corner rubbing on a red Forge coolant pipe so I reinforced that outer bit of pipe work.
