Rear washer leak

<< < (3/4) > >>

mk1mad:
Well it couldn't be straight forward it's leaking out of  the plastic at the bottom of the motor !

I am going to attempt a fix it  by using some araldite to seal the leak  as there is nothing wrong with the motor and a new motor is £130.

mk1mad:
So the araldite cured one point of leaking, but it leaked else where.
So I needed a new motor looking through loads on eBay I found one with a vw parts sicker so it  must have been a replacement part.
Fitted up and works fine, point to note it is slightly different as the washer jet is in a fixed position and doesn't move with the wiper arm. Date on the motor 2015.

HNY  :drinking:

Our GTI rear washer is not working, took the back panel off and it sprays into the boot at full speed!

It doesn't seem to be the connection of the hose to the fixed part, but its firing out above that on a fixed piece

Have checked the exterior spray point with a pin and it seems clear

Any ideas?

Cheers

Decide to get a new rear wiper motor as at only £55 for a new one, and looking fairly easy to change, hopefully it will solve the above issue.

However, I can't get the rear wiper off, it seems to have fused, any ideas? Have been WD40'ing it regularly, but so far no movement...

You could try one of these.

If not I think it's a case of cutting it off, I never like messing too much with wiper motors that go through glass I always have visions of it smashing.
