P0444 EVAP Emission Control Purge Valve C Open

About six months I replaced the N80 Evap Purge Regulator which I bought of Ebay.  Recently the light management came on and I checked for any faults and the devices gave me the following reading P0444 EVAP Emission Control Purge Valve C Open.  Does this mean the regulator is faulty and I have to replace it again?

I deleted the code but it came back on after a few miles.  Where's the best place to pick one up preferably new and what should I be paying?

Cheers buddy not sure if it was genuine or not or even how to tell but I paid around £18 for it from a UK seller
