My Black MKV GTI
« on: February 25, 2021, 09:53:35 am »
So.. this has been a long time coming! First of all i want to thank everyone on the forum for their advice and ideas, especially AJP and Pudding, helped me no end when i was neck deep in indecision. This is what ive done;

Bluetooth Kit with mic from In Car connections - Looked at upgrading the head unit but after taking the wipers off to get to the CANBUS and many weeks of discussion, decided to keep the standard one.. - https://www.incarconnections.co.uk/vw-bluetooth-adapter-streaming-and-calls/vw-bluetooth-adapter-for-streaming-and-hands-free-calls-2006-onwards-ctavgbt009-quadlock.html

BBS SR 8x18 ET45 Himalaya Grey -  Original Monza 18's are in the garage needing a refurb! https://www.rtecshop.co.uk/wheel_results.php?manufacturer=84&chassis=3962&diameter=18&wheelFamily=292

Vogtland Coilovers – This was by far the hardest decision, took me a while to settle on these. I did for a few reasons, price, shocks made by KW, springs highly rated, ride according to those that have them, not too crashy nor soft. So far I love them, so much more planted and love the look. I do get a few scrapes over larger speed bumps, I only drive about 2k miles a year so can live with that. Guys at DPM were super helpful https://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/
Fitted by Simon at SD Autotech, cant rate these guys highly enough, hr away from home but well worth it, make use of the courtesy car and go to Brighton - http://www.sdautotech.co.uk/
I also had TTRS top mounts installed and did the fuel pump cam follower. Old stuff was in surprisingly good condition.. Car is an '07 plate and has covered 69k

Air con service, not as fun but made so much difference, and for £60… https://mobileautoac.co.uk/ Pollen filter swapped out myself

Full detail, paint correction by Mr Buff.. https://mrbuffrepairs.com/  Has come out looking amazing!

Not sure how or if i can post pics yet?!?!
