Suspension trouble
« on: June 10, 2025, 08:06:25 am »
Hi everyone hope this finds you well B)
I have an 034 stage 2 2008 Gti DSG, I’ve owned the car for a year now and given its age and kms (130,000) it’s experiencing some wear and tear despite consistent wary maintenance.

Recently I’ve been getting more and more strange noises and weird feelings from both the front and rear of the car.

The Rear: When going over sharp bumps it almost feels like something in the rear jumps I mainly noticed this cresting the lip of my garage.

The Front: I believe my strut mounts are pretty shot, noticeable increase in road noise and quite creaky especially when cold.
I’ve also started getting a slight shudder when braking at high speed which has really put a damper on spirited driving.
I also get a clunk noise when reversing up my steep driveway and turning.

I plan on doing a full bushing overhaul over time but I’m not made of money so looking to do highest urgency stuff first and sorting the more minor issues over time. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated  :jumpmove:
