Fault Code 01810 - not getting hot air on drivers side
« on: November 21, 2025, 08:10:02 am »
Symptoms are that I am not getting hot air in the drivers side (right hand drive) and diagnostics is showing an intermittent fault 01810.

From research I am going to replace the Postioning Motor V159 but I can’t find any instructions on how to reach it from a right hand drive car.

Any advice greatly appreciated! It’s at this time of year you realise how much hot air on the windscreen helps!

If I’m correct, you remove the panel on the left side of the drivers footwell, there is a little flap with a T20 screw behind it. Ones that panel has been removed, you should be able to see the motor about 6” up. It’s either held in by simple clips or by a 6/7mm screw.

I’m having a similar issue where my temp is only going to about 20 degrees and won’t go hotter. I’ve changed all the flap motors and flushed the heater core but no luck for me yet.

Hopefully a new motor fixes your issue
