No it's sort of 2000-4000rpm part throttle. Wired. No performance loss.

Cam follower changed, not much wear on the follower but always better to be safe than sorry. Simon said (lol) there was zero wear on the cam itself which is good to know.

I didn't expect much wear but it's best to be safe than sorry!

Not got to the bottom of the engine rattle yet, didn't have time at vagco.

OK... so Gtechniq wheel sealant just doesnt repel brake dust if left on for a week or so. BUT IronX wins every time, it never fails to shift the most stubburn of brake dust.

Does it remove the gtechniq?

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Probably... but as it wasnt really working anyway im not bother, i just wont use it again. Instead ill just use IronX when i wash my car and cant get the wheels clean.

Ive applied the Gtechniq water repellant to the windows.. lets see how that works out.

Which one did you go for the windows? I found it a bit over-hyped. I went for the G3.

With tar spots on the wheels, I tend to do spot cleaning if needs be eg tardis the affected area, clean it and reapply the sealant in that area.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

G4 polish and G1-G2... It's working fine now, but let's see how long it lasts.

I found the wheel sealant (G5.. which is the same as G4 and G1 anyway) pretty good. had it on my van wheels since the summer and they clean up perfect every time with just a mild acid free wheel cleaner.

I couldn't get on with the g1/g2 combo at all. found it a massive pain to apply and remove.

Did you polish the wheels properly first and then give them an IPA wipedown before applying the C5?

Yeah it was applied correctly to fresh wheels. I dont think my drilled discs help, they spit out a lot of brake dust.
