Free as a bird! You is flyin' Jaz!
Felt like it. Accelerating on the motorway felt effortless, almost too easy - as though the car has no rolling resistance.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Is your DSG remapped, Rich? Mine was a bit 'lumpy' and my Revo DSG remap sorted that.

Strange mine had been lumpy since Alex did the stage 2 DSG?

It does need a service though but will have to wait until next year now.

DSG servicing also seems to contribute to curing lumpiness. I don't know why.

Guys,  who is Alex, does he work for AKS?  I'm looking to get a custom DSG map put on mine as Revo don't do a DSG map for my car   :sad1:
Any suggestion for a good place that is closest to the South East?  :notworthy:

Excellent service as always from Alex.

All jobs done, linear throttle file is sooooooooooooo much better (even though most do'nt think it necessary on stage 1), and now the DSG has been reset it has definitely made an improvement to it. All in all the car just feels better, it always does after a service!  :driver:

Alex decided on the Nology Silver spark plugs, I think he has got a set to gonna try on his octavia.

Happy customer.

I saw sombody else recommend those a bit ago, are they the fairly expensive ones?  Or a variant of?  Where do they sit in the heat index (i.e. 7's 8's)

Not silly money really... £32 for 4. Alex says they are rated between 6-8

I will have it serviced but it was ok before the remap!

80k miles so its due.

Maybe Ill get it done sooner rather than later but it wasn't on the dot at 40k, I think 42k.

Linear throttle is so much better!
