Passed...

Only advisory was a comment on the OEM plastic covers underneath the car "obstructing components".... he said it was just a standard thing they put on all MOTs for german cars with under trays.  :stupid:

Use a different MOT station next time!

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

I had that on my last MOT too; what is it obstructing the view of in an MOT scenario?

Its like the Citroen AX GT's... ther body kits hide rotten cills 90% of the time... They put it to cover their backs...

Glad it passed ok!

I would rather have an undertray on the car, and that to get hammered by some road debris than the sump!

just read back a few pages on the whole intake thing,  just to add a little something....i've used Neuspeed P-Flo, EVOMS, Twintake and ITG and they are all very good although ITG alters the power delivery slightly IMHO, more top end at the sacrifice of a little lower end response, its a better suited intake for stage 2+ or greater where you get the full benefit. I liked them all to be honest and the easiest fit was the simplest and probably the least favorable (neuspeed P-flo kit).

However i do like the revo version but its not cheap!

Seems about right.

Defo.  I removed mine to do some work on my old SAAB and never refitted it... had a rusted through oil pipe and lots of oil on the drive after 1 harsh winter; definitely not doing that again!

I'm just wary of things like that. Never had an advisary like that before. I've had my car MOTed at dealers and independent.
