:happy2: You got the same front splitter (OSIR) as mine but the centre section is painted - Is it plastic? Is yours a fibreglass (like mine) or later plastic version?

Mine is the plastic version, as is the centre. I'm not too keen on the centre being painted but it's my own fault for not telling the bodyshop to leave it unpainted. Will sort it out soon or remove it.
The middle part is held by two screws and can be separately painted gloss black...

I got the alloys with the car, they are 19" Wheel Mania Savoys. I think they look better in the 'flesh'.

Will look meaner when I get the centre section of the lip sorted.

Ive just changed them,

Correct it Sandbanks peninsula in that shot the rest are at Canford cliffs.
I live in poole, seems like a few people know the area. Many of you live here locally?

Seen a few people driving gti's and ed 30's but most are not the forum type or close to retirement age.

....*cough* Some of us have already reached retirement age!:

I spend so much time on forums that I don't have time to work.  :happy2:

Suppose I shouldn't have stereotyped,

Re worded. Most people I see driving gti's and ed 30's in my area are not the forum type and older. At only 24 years old, Most people are older than me.

I do not think this would apply to you as clearly by looking at your car, you are a car enthusiast!

Excellent picture by the way!

....Cheers  :drinking:

You're right - There are quite a lot of much older people you see in GTI's in wealthier areas and they don't tend to smile or wave back! They're not enthusiasts and probably only bought their GTI because it was the top Golf in the range (unless you count R32's).

Was with a friend all day today and he was working on an AMG V8 Mercedes. When the 40-ish year old woman came to collect it I politely asked if she enjoyed driving it and the sound. The snotty cow looked down her nose at me and asked if I worked there. So I looked straight through her for a moment, put on my best public school accent, draped myself on the BMW M3 (my GTI was parked outside) and said no I was a customer. What a waste!
