As Andrew has just pointed out clock is the wrong format.

see below from my-gti website.

Note: If you receive a clamp state error ‘a swl disk is detected but it is unvalid because of clamp state. please switch clamp state to hour mode and re insert disk’ this means you need to change the time format of the clock in the RNS 510 from 12 hour to 24 hour clock.

only took a quick search and 3 words in google  :happy2:

which firmware are you trying to load and what unit, as could be a number of reasons.

The only time i have seen that happen is when someone has tried to put the wrong firmware on a unit. (Trying to load 1100 on a A revision unit)

Has the 2720 been modified in any way?

The quick solution would be to download the 276X firmware i have linked in the tutorial thread. :happy2:

Great Idea  :notworthy:

I'm erasing all of the disc as we speak, ready for when the downloads finished so I can upload on to the disc.

Now in the tutorial it talks about burning the disc slowly, I only have windows XP and will be using that to burn the software on to the disc, Im not sure with XP I can control the burn speed ??

Will it really make that big a difference ????

Yes it can do.

If your using re-writable discs that can cause problems too. Only saying that as you said your erasing the disc.

I'm not sure you can create a disc from an image just using XP's in built software so you may need to download nero lite (which is free) :happy2:
