Thought i'd have a blast down to Santa Pod today with my mate in his Cupra and a few other VAG regulars (Poverty, P10RYS and a load of the TT lot). Got there at 10am, track opened @ 12:15  :fighting: or should I say ice rink. Apparently they were using a new glue that didn't react well with the conditions and resulted in 30mph, 4th gear wheel spin and a 21.2 @ 54mph  :laugh:   :signLOL:
Anyway, after about 3:30pm, the track was getting better and on my last run I finally managed to be a member of the 12 sec club  :signLOL:
What makes it better, is that I was in full road trim (nothing removed), and on worn PS2 summer tyres  :booty:  :signLOL: (2.44 60ft though  :ashamed:)

So, that's it, the old girl is finally being put into 1/4 mile retirement at the trusty old age of 73,000 miles. I think she has served me well  :happy2:  Oh and a fairly leasurely drive home also resulted in...



Not bad for a 12 sec car...  :signLOL: (and no I didn't take the pic  :grin:)

Was initially on B9 T6 F7, but was just to agressive for the conditions, so tried B7 T6  F7 for 2 runs and this was the result..  :surprised:

happy days.  Good time for a full road spec as well.

Are you 100% not doing the 1/4 anymore?  Makes sense, it isnt kind on a cars transmission

I'm changing the car in a few months Sy and i've now reached my goal  :pomppomp:, so think it's best before I break something..  :scared:
Although saying that, there is a lot of room for improvement on the 60ft t....     No, I must resist!!!   :signLOL:

Time for a change mate (company car, hence the mileage).. 135i is top of the list at min, although i've still got a Suzuka Grey S3 buzzing around in my head that I can't get rid of. Especially after having another perv over Ash's (P10RYS) car. Oh and I can transfer all my bits..  :laugh:
But i've promised myself I would sell all my bolts ons and put them towards the wedding fund and just stick with a simple map on the BM...
