These weren't in the plan, but I liked them too much not to have them:
It is a R32 (MY 2009) instrument cluster bought off ebay from a Danish service (
http://autoparts24.eu/). From the pictures above you can see they are in near mint condition.
Compared to my current instrument cluster this is highline and with a completely different design compared to non GTI/R32.
After reading the midline to highline topics, the other instrument cluster swap topics and terrorizing
EddieNL(thank you again for taking your time to answer my stupid questions) with my questions I understood I have to buy a instrument cluster that has a code close to mine (preferably only the second to last digit should differ).
My instrument cluster is
1K0 920 864 A and the R32 one is
1K6 920 874 B. The K0/K6 should be the difference in design between the non GTi/GTI instrument cluster and the 6/7 should be the difference between midline/higline computer.
I haven't installed the new instrument cluster because I can't code the new cluster (and non of my friends also). So on Thursday I have an appointment at the VW Dealer to have them installed (I was quite surprised to know that for mounting and coding the instruments cluster they would only charge me 26 GBP).
Can't wait to have them fitted!
