lowering
CarrG:
60mm seems a bit OT, well it would be where i live. My front spoiler would be dead with 5mins.
darrens:
I am also looking for some springs and currently looking at the Eibach's.
As the ED30 is already a little lower would the 40mm ones not cause problems with speed humps or is this about the correct drop?
As the springs cost about £120-130 and fitted costs seem to be around £300 what is actually involved in fitting them. Excuse my ignorance but my local mechanic has said he will fit them and I want to make sure he does them right!

Sorry my mistake, still learning! I read a review which said that the ED30 was slightly lower than the GTI but when looking a different cars I could never see it, now I know why.
So 40mm would be ok without causing any issues?
joesgti:
40mm would be fine, you may need to remove the 2 screws inside the arches and tuck the arch liner up behind the mounts, but thats literally a 10 min job.
